I freaking love that the new black Barrinas are magnetic, game changer. The metal plates are for if attaching to glass. Plate is one side sticky and then other side magnets to bar so low profile hidden attachment to non metal.. there are also little plastic pieces to connect the two into two 2’ bars without the wire between❤

Loved the longer vid…when I repot alocasias in pon & mess the rootball up looking for corms I like to prune most the fine roots cos they mostly rot off with the new pon crushing them. All is fine when you don’t disturb them though xx can’t wait to see your KZbin plaque soon 🎉 xx

You can barely see out our windows there so much overspray with neem oils etc lol but the windows are covered with plants so you won’t notice till spring lol I gotta get at it I like those split power bars where one side is timed, some of the lights I have have timers already on them, some not, so both sides are handy The second Alocasia you showed that you weren’t sure what it’s called, is a Sinuata part of the jewel alocasias. I don’t get how I’m still an overwaterer when I have over 150 plants, I need something else to concentrate on apparently lol I use the cup method for my moss poles, teeny holes in the bottom of the cup I add nutrient water every few days, I don’t water the pots of those plants often, the water from the moss poles moistens the soil

Curious how often you have to fill the little humidifier 🤔 I have a 6 liter humidifier & I have to refill it every other day. Just a note on PH Down. I switched to just using pure Citric acid, which is all Ph Down is. Much less expensive! Also, I recently learned it shouldn’t be done with every watering because soil naturally acidifies over time & too much low Ph water contributes to this. So, I’m only lowering it now with every other watering.

Hola Jeff =) How long have you had those corms in the propbox? I just started some Alocasia Silver Dragon corms in a perlite propbox, and I'd like to get an idea of when something *should* be happening. Thanks! Love seeing your plant updates!
@EverythingPlants22 күн бұрын
The Jacklyns have actually been in there for quite a while.... I'm guessing at least 2-3 months. I would suspect you start to see roots pushing out after a few weeks... But sometimes can take longer. I find a few peel off the bark exterior they root faster
