Thanks for the fun tutorial again, Teela! Still have a question though... My animation is 3 seconds long. When I open it on a different app than Procreate, it stops after going down and up one time. What am I doing wrong?

i was having the same issue - because exporting it as an MP4 video isn't going to allow it to repeat...it's a standard video file. i exported it as a GIF and that seems to work...it'll play on repeat. thing is, if we upload it to social media it's only going to show a static image :/

@@lobsterbird I exported it as a GIF as well and indeed, it's playing on repeat. But you're right: if you post it to social media, it's not playing anything... :/

You'll want to export as an animated gif if you want to use it as a repeat outside of instagram 👍

@@akiracloostermans3178 okay yes, i think this is it! as @Every Tuesday said, exporting it as an animated GIF works outside of social media and an MP4 (even though it doesn't repeat elsewhere, WILL repeat on socials - i discovered this by posting an exported MP4 to FB...) is that right?

How can I make it show the animation on Instagram? I exported as an animated GIF but it wasn’t animated.

You need to export an animated mp4 for it to repeat on IG 👍

When I hit select and create a new layer, I go to fill layer and it all goes orange. What am I doing wrong?

I had the same issue. I ended up just duplicating the text layer and changing it to the color needed. It worked perfectly.

If that's happening, it's because 'color fill' is activated on your selection menu at the bottom of your screen. Deactivate that and all will work as expected 👍

I don’t understand how anyone is supposed to follow along without pausing the video every 3 seconds and then rewinding at least twice. Was this not meant for anyone to be able to follow along. Maybe for a more experienced crowd.
