Whenever I hear this, I feel like I'm sitting at a small table outside a French cafe in Paris enjoying a wonderful glass of French wine. And, from inside the cafe, wafts this beautiful music sung by a middle-aged chanteuse just pouring her soul into the lyrics. But, that's Angelina. Angelina has said that one of her wishes is to take old classics like this and give them new life to be enjoyed by a new generation. She does this very well, but another thing she does in the process is to bring some new songs to an older generation. Angelina is someone that can be enjoyed by people of any age. Through music she is bridging gaps between the generations. BTW: she is just 10 years old in this recording. You asked what song would challenge Angelina... I'm not sure if there are any. She has sung some very challenging songs already... "My Funny Valentine", "La Boheme", "I Have Nothing" (at 9, 11, and 13 respectively). She is constantly pushing the limits of what she can do.

Angelina is wonderful beyond belief. I got over my addiction to cigarettes and alcohol after many years, but there is no known way to kick the habit of Angelina. And as Amy Winehouse said "I don't want to go to rehab, no,no.no"! I am perfectly happy with my Angelina addiction. Please listen to what I consider to be the best version of this song - Eva Cassidy live at Blues Alley. You need to listen to her performance of Speak Softly Love from the Godfather. It is a gem. Use the It's Magic youtube performance. There are 2 live performances but the bands drown out her vocals. As usual, she alters her voice to suit the song. I could not believe this was her singing this.

i find her amazing. She can sing "The show must go on" and make it a classic, while singing Summertime and Gloomy Sunday, as if she was a 1930s singer. She devoured "Bohemian Rhapsody" by making an adaptation of it which was so memorable that the whole world loved it. I suppose it's as if she were Mozart, and her song "Shield" kind of mirrors this. She can arrange, conduct, sing, and compose. She plays several instruments, but not on stage. She is an enigma, but one which is a delight to hear.

Good reaction. Angelina has by far the best interpretation I have heard for a long time. Automn Leaves is not however an original song in its English version. The original is Feuilles Mortes. It was written in 1945 by a major French poet of the XXth century, Jacques Prévert. The music is borrowed from a musical theme from opera composer Jules Massenet. It did take time before it became a success thanks to Juliette Greco, and then Edith Piaf.. I think Edith Piaf was the first to sing it in English, or in a bilingual version, at one of her many performances at Hotel Pierre in New York. Piaf remains of course one of the very best singers of all times, if not the best. I am in awe that Angelina can bring to this song as much beauty and emotion as Piaf. Not the same style, but equally great. And Angelina is supposed to be a child !

Eve thank for another beautiful reaction to magical Angelina, in this, like other songs in which she sings slowly and in low tones, she becomes truly incredibly emotional, takes you by the hand and accompanies you in a peaceful world. This is an original French song, written in 1946 for the movie While Paris Sleeps, and sung by Yves Montand, the text of the English version was written by Johnny Mercer in 1957 and the two versions are quite different from each other, even in tone.

Yes she is spot on here and again she is using har vocals superbly. You asked for a challenge to her skills: That could possibly be opera or songs from an artist that is immensely unique in her own way. That should be - songs by Aurora ( I guess this will cause an avalanche of comments from Angelina fans). But I am a fan of both artists and they are doing their things on different playgrounds.

I've watched and listened to her from when she was three foot nothing to now when she's six foot plus - I worried that puberty and height would harm her voice - I worried for nothing! It's hard to say her voice has matured when it has been beautiful and powerful all along - perhaps she has learned some new techniques and refined her delivery, I don't know. Her stage presence is a little remote but for her, it seems to work. I love her, whatever she does. Love your review too.

Although Angelina is now 14, she has not put out any performances since last year. Anything you see or hear as of now (5/31/2020) was recorded when she was 13 or younger. This performance was done when she was 10 years old. I can't really comment on whether or not that makes it more amazing because we are talking about Angelina Jordan. With her, age isn't a factor. I don't feel that it's even relevant. She's in a class of prodigies that defy the expectations we have for normal people.

I'd love to hear Angelina tackle Karen Carpenter -- Angelina has the same low resonance and vibrato as Karen when she wants to show it, and Carpenter is always in the center of her note, and a very tough cover. "We've Only Just Begun" or maybe "Yesterday Once More" would be great choices.

The problem is that there are many people now using Angelina Jordan's name to do a "reaction" thing but talk way to much during her songs consistently interrupting so that they can be heard and seen,if your going to do a reaction thing at least wait until the song has finished,ITS NOT ABOUT YOU!!!!!!!

I love watching and hearing reactions to songs. However, what I hate is when they keep on the stop /start while reviewing which mostly causes me to swith over. Don't understand why the whole song can't be played and then dissected

Angelina should avoid covers of active singers on the scene today. Her cover of Lana Del Rey's "Born to die" is by far better than the original & so is Adele's "A million years ago" or maybe Rihanna's "Stay" (which I never heard sung by Rihanna" by the way).

I have said this before and I'll say it again. It isn't really accurate to she covers other singers. In reality, she makes every song "HER OWN."
