It was organized very carefully, beautifully, easily to see and understand. I felt that this movie was the best example to use as a reference when disassembling and cleaning :)

Great video! Those fan headers are a pain to work with. I'll be replacing my thermal pads soon and will use this as a guide to make sure I don't mess anything up along the way.

I saw you replaced the thermal putty on the inductors with a thermal pad. What thickness pad did you use? 1.5mm?

Do I have to do all this to change a fan? Or is the stock thermal pad and thermal putty fine?? And then obviously I at least need thermal paste for the chip

Hi, Whats the difference between gray and blue thermal pads? Whats the thickness? And which brand thermal pads could You recommend? Thank You!
@TakeThatScrewOut2 жыл бұрын
The color is nothing to do with performance..what i normally used for Thermal Pads is ARCTIC brand..and there's Thermal Grizzly Carbon ( For CPU inly), Thermal Right pads. And with it comes to Thermal paste, Arctic Silver 5 or MX lineup, Noctua, thermal Grizzly & Corsair is what i recommend.

My EVGA RTX2070 card's RGB lights went out and now the 2 fans stopped working. The card is still able to display and do light work like surf the web, watch youtube and some light gaming that doesn't need the fans activating. When the RGB went out it caused a burnt plastic smell....fans kept working for a couple of days afterwards. I wonder if there is any way to get the fans to work again? Seems like a waste since the card still works except for fans not working.

The stock pad was still very good, so i didn't bother to replace it with a new one..still there attached to the heatsink..😀

Thank you so much! I just changed the thermal pads. I used 2mm thermalright 12.8 W/mK thermal pad for the vram. Temperature of the vram is now 100C instead of 80c (before replacement). What's the problem here? Would you be able to help me out? Thanks!
