I've watched plenty of these videos for years here on KZbin,and no matter who they are,or where they are from,they all act surprised and dumb founded as to why this is happening. It's sad because kid's are involved,but adults need to be more responsible and proactive with their responsibilities and the situation at hand. We have all been down on our luck,but you have to be an adult,take care of your responsibilities,and make sure your kid's have a stable roof over their head's.

@504 NOLA IS HOME, Yeah it is sad when children are involved. But he couldn't even say why the eviction was happening, cause it wasn't included on the damn paper work. Landlords default on mortgage payments, but tenants paid. And these people show up saying you gotta get out! The guy who lived there was saying they paid, & was told they didn't have to move, so we don't know. EVERY CASE IS NOT THE SAME. This happened to me as a child. I didn’t blame the sheriff or the owner…I honestly blame my parents. They knew we were getting evicted and didn’t even give me and my sister a warning. As soon as we got home from school, the sheriff knocked on our door and started throwing our things on the street. The worst part is that we lived right next to our school…so as school was letting out, kids from school were walking past us as our belongings were being tossed to the curb. So humiliating and traumatizing. But it’s my parents fault for putting us through that

It's possible to get kicked out of your place of residence, if your rent is on time. Years ago, my parents had a landlord who took out a loan from a financial institution to build the dwellings they resided in. One day they got a knock on the door and was told by the local sheriff, they have 7 days to vacate the premises. Apparently, the landlord had been faultering on his loan payment, but kept collecting rent from his tenants for months, before the lender foreclosed on the property and had all the tentanta evicted. Mind you, my parents never made a deliquent rent payment. They both had full-time jobs and were never on any type of government assistance. Landlords can have debt and use rental payments for issues other than paying their mortgage. Not to say that's the case in this situation. However, it does happen. I'm the oldest out of three kids, this happened to us when I was 13 and my siblings were 8 and 6. Both my parents were at work and I was in charge of babysitting. Imagine the fear when the landlord shows up with the sheriff and tells us we have about 10 mins to pack everything we'll need and we need to get out. All I could think about was my siblings, they had no idea why were couldn't go back into our house and I didn't know what to do. I was a kid myself. I don't blame the landlord or nothing but still, not something I wish upon anyone.

Very true. I personally went through an eviction 18 1/2 years ago because my son's father became a deadbeat after my son turned 1-month old. The judge and the landlord were super kind, they understood it wasn't my fault, but it's a long process. First your served with multiple reminder letters to pay. Once your 3-months behind and you haven't gone into a payment plan, a 30-day Notice to Quit is issued. When the 30-day lapses with no payment, then the court date is set. You go in front of the judge explain why you haven't paid and the eviction is either granted or a payment plan is put into place. If the eviction is granted, it then takes an additional month or so for the tenant to find a place. Then your served with a constable's notice from the Sherriff's department with the date that they will be showing up. Then on the day they show up, they are there with a moving truck. They pack your stuff for you, and ask you where you want your stuff. When it comes to mothers, though, there are tons of resources and I was lucky with my two representatives who found me an apartment, just that I was being evicted from a luxury apartment and literally moved into a regular apartment in the same town LOL! It took 5-months, and there's heavy communication. There isn't any need for a surprise or shock - sorry for the agreeable rant that I provided ❤

Why do they not vacate then, I wonder. If they know eventually they’ll be evicted, why do they stay and allow it to happen???
@allenjenkins92411 ай бұрын
@@BeKind2AllKinds Sorry to say but it’s some Renters mentality. They wait until the last minute to vacate knowing they are getting kicked out. Then hope the Legal system will have mercy on them and allow them to stay and “Not” pay you, they save their money up to get over and have deposit for next Rental and do the same thing to another Landlord. What’s really bad is “After” they are evicted of “not” paying for last 3-4 months “YOU” have to take them to small claims court to get your money back! The eviction process is “ONLY” that, they don’t make renters pay you back during or after eviction process unless “YOU” pay more fees to take them to small claims court! That’s why a credit check is important and it’s still not a guarantee that you will have good tenants in your property! I sold my property after 10yrs of being a Landlord and you won’t believe the amount of excuses of why they can’t pay! New Jersey allows people to squat in your home and “not” pay Rent for at least 3-4 months free!!

A couple of things: 1. The person acting on the eviction notice can’t do anything. S/he is only there to serve the court order. If you have evidence that you paid your rent, went to court, etc, you have to talk to the court who served the papers. 2. You can get evicted for violating your lease even if you’re on-time with your rent. Leases are very clear about how many people can live on the property, and who can live on the property (leaseholders and their children ONLY). If the brother, gf and the gf’s kids aren’t supposed to be there, and the landlord found out about it, s/he can terminate the lease and evict. 3. My dad was a landlord for a long time and he 100% lose any respect for people. He was cheated and lied to and threatened. Everytime he tried to help, the quote of no good deed came back and slapped him. There was a woman he rented to that used her sugar daddys credit and moved her and 6 kids into a 3 bedroom townhouse. The amount of complaints by the neighbors seemed excessive until you realized that this lady was selling drugs, having domestics in the house and on the lawn, and that cops and ambulances were a every 3 day thing. Its not just eviction costs, its more. He filed an eviction notice and they left 4 months later. This woman had a social media account on Facebook and filmed herself purposely rubbing feces on walls, down sinks, and encouraging her kids to ruin the townhome and left over night. The damages to the apartment were $20k, plus abother $6.5k in backrent. Fucking animals that are so disgusting. When he sold his properties the family was happy. But due to his experience he is still jaded and bitter.

It obviously went through the court . The final step in the eviction process is the removal of the tenant and their belongings from the property. Even after an eviction has been awarded to the landlord, harassment or intimidation is absolutely unacceptable and illegal. If the tenant refuses to leave the property voluntarily, then a court order may be brought to local law enforcement to remove the tenant.

I work in property management. Evictions take up to 8 months to be executed in Chicago, and even longer in California. Legally, you have to be given notice that you’re under eviction so you know when it’s filed and many landlords just want you out at that point, so they even offer to call off the eviction (which won’t go on your record if called off soon enough) should you vacate within the next week or so. You have court hearings when under eviction too, it many tenants refuse to go to the hearings, but then get really mad when the sheriff arrives saying they were never served. Don’t blame the landlord if you were served and was still evicted. That’s now between you and the courts cause the law is who is literally putting you out at that point so if you feel something is against the law, take it up with them. These women or at least the lease holder knew she was under eviction. Even the gentleman said “she said we wasn’t being evicted anymore.” Idk the laws in this state, but you aren’t supposed to take any form of payment or that will cause the eviction to be null and void. So if the landlord was taking payments they can take that up in court but each one of them is saying opposite things. Lastly, I saw a comment about not judging because it could have been the landlord being foreclosed on. Not in this case. The sheriff knew it was an eviction for a lease. The landlords are who contact the courts to order the sheriff so the sheriff already knows what he’s there for. This was definitely an eviction for non payment.
@keyanddracaryskillua6187 Жыл бұрын
It doesn't take that long in Michigan as far as I've ever heard. I have no idea for sure. I always assumed a couple of months. Do you have any idea why it takes so long as you stated? Is it because the courts are very packed or many different dates?
@jordanalandry1866 Жыл бұрын
oh hell that’s ridiculous. Not where I live you can get somebody out quick fast in a hurry here I’m talking like three days they get a 72 hour notice and that’s it. They get their notice posted on the door and then they’ve got 72 hours to get out, and, they turn out evictions pretty quick and then it doesn’t take long at all to get a court date you get somebody served and the court hearing which nine times out of 10. They don’t even show up to that’s usually within the week and then once you have that court order, you can put somebody out like I said within three days and usually they get to going pretty quickly sometimes they don’t even check in. They just disappear under the cover of darkness but the judgment is already God you know so they’re still on the hook for everything I’ve never had a situation where someone had to physically remove stuff like not in this way on the spot like that I guess recently we had a situation in one of our luxury buildings, Guy hadn’t paid rent in five months. It was a luxury building like I said a one bedroom apartment and all of the notices not just in regards to his rent but any other notices that we would put on the doors resident activities things like this that and the other those were piled up outside his door so we knew he hadn’t even been there and we got in there to take a look it was clear he didn’t have a lot of stuff there but he definitely looks like he would be returning like he wasn’t just abandoning all this property that was there and so we tried to get a hold of him we tried to find him phone was disconnected couldn’t reach this guy. The thing is like he had a good job and stuff and that was what was so puzzling. We thought maybe something happened to him honestly is what the initial thought process was and, three day vision was ordered and at the end of the three days you know we were fixing to go in and pull all the personal property out which there wasn’t much like I said, and what do you know the morning of the third day he calls, wondering why the locks are changed or he was wondering why he couldn’t get into his apartment couldn’t figure out why his key wouldn’t work and it’s an electronic key in that building like a key fob and I told them you know you’ve gotten multiple emails multiple calls you know we haven’t gotten the rent payment from you in five months and so when eviction was ordered in your absence and he couldn’t figure it out he’s like but my rent is on auto debit like it’s supposed to come out his account every month which I could buy that excuse if it had happened like one month but you can’t tell me that for five months guy didn’t notice that $1300 wasn’t coming out of his checking account and not only that but you know he’s getting all these texts and emails and correspondence. Apparently he was working out of state as what happened and he assumed that his rent was on auto payment but there again you know I could buy that excuse if it hadn’t gone on for so long because the amount of money that he owed was like $7000 or something like that I mean it wasn’t like a small amount and you can’t tell me that you don’t check your bank account and notice that your rent payments aren’t coming out you know I don’t think anybody pays with checks anymore but you definitely check your bank account and make sure that any bills that you do pay automatically every month you know most people still check and want to make sure that those payments post and come out the account so then he had the money he wanted to know if he could pay his balance and get the locks changed back and I said no it’s too late. You know we already paid the attorney we had the court date. You know if you want you can look for another apartment you know like that’s about all we could offer at that point and as luck would have it. We already had his unit rented, I had somebody pretty anxious to get moved in there but the nice thing in that case was he had the money to pay it including the attorneys fees so he got that paid the same day and then we had another situation. It was a young kid I see a kid, but he was probably in his early 20s and just couldn’t make the rent. I mean he was trying but not hard enough I mean he knew for a long time he was making like these bullshit payments. You know we told them make an effort here to get current with your rent and he was paying like $80 here $100 there $60 there I mean that’s not going to take you very far when you’re renting a $1400 a month apartment you know he was living way beyond his capacity to pay for realistically and I did feel bad for him because he was real nice about it. He knew we had to get his stuff out. He was pretty upset and it was during the middle of a really bad storm so he couldn’t really move his stuff out entirely and I told him that’s OK we’re not gonna get it moved out in the middle of the storm. Anyhow, I said I still have to change the locks. You can come back next week with your dad and the trailer and get the rest of your stuff, but you’ll just have to call me at the office and I’ll have to come and let you in. You know I can’t let you keep the keys and I did feel bad for him in a sense because you know he wasn’t doing it maliciously or with ill intent. He just seemed real naïve and like he just really didn’t know what he got himself into but at the same time he knew what the rent was. He knew what time it was what the deal was, and you have to think long-term when you’re looking at these places you know it’s not can I make the rent this month it’s can I make the rent every single month for the duration of my lease?
