Yes, the gel whitener makes the royal icing opaque so the pattern is crisp and clear. We do also carry a royal icing mix intended for mesh stenciling that already has whitener in the mix! evilcakegenius.com/mesh-stencil-icing-mix.html

Hi Linda, the secret is the Mesh Stencils. They leave behind such a thin layer of Royal Icing that the design remains flexible! This wouldn't work with an ordinary acrylic stencil, only our Evil Cake Genius Mesh Stencils. They're pretty incredible!

They are 8.5"x11", like a standard piece of printer paper.
