Well metal is pretty much dead in the mainstream. Now we only have showcase bands that only exist to show their talent to others musicians.
@jeremysmith92913 жыл бұрын
@@stonevisionmedia the vocals are holding them back, alot. the instruments sound good though. He's clearly not willing or not able to commit to the vocal fry that would be more typical of this kind of metal. They could really benefit from doing something else to make up for it, maybe if they could try to harmonize to get a good tenor going. Or if he could just try to do that thing that godsmack does in voodoo where they have the ultra deep singing coming from the back of the throat.

Ah man, after Mike died I couldn't bring myself listen to their music; We played a show with them and TOB a few months before and today was the first time I listened to their new stuff. That intro that was his warm up/sound check riff. Mike's bass playing was so tight during that show and I hadn't met anyone like that.

This song is the best thrash ballad I've heard since 80's Metallica, even Testament. Fuck the haters, this is a great tribute to a fallen band member and to the old school sound. Lots of heart and passion. I'd like to hear more songs like this. I love the other Evile songs but this one brings me back!

The allegory of the band playing in an abandoned library adds so much more weight to the lyrical content of the song. When someone passes on, an entire library of life experience and knowledge is gone.

Anybody else find it eerie that these guys are a little similar to Metallica and their bassist died as well?
@andystoneburner46419 жыл бұрын
Doyledeth Unfortunately metal is dead compared to where it was in the 80s and early 90s so they probably wont see as much success. I love evil and back when Ol Drake was the lead guitar player they were probably the best new thrash metal band. Now he left and wont be coming back. Definitely eerily similar in things that happened except Mike Alexander had a blood clot in his lung.

Due to the similarity of this band's vocalist's voice and the way he's singing, to the Metallica's vocalist, when my brother and I heard this wonderful song for the first time, we used to think that this song belongs to the Metallica...it was about 10 years ago. In one word, it's FANTASTIC. I don't know this band, but they have put all the pieces of one true heavy metal song perfectly all together.

Fantastic! I really enjoyed watching this video of yours. It brings something back to Metal that's missing for a decade now and that is, in my opinion, emotion. Today it's almost like it's forbidden to take an emotional approach to special themes, 'cause it's non-Metal and many think it's gay :(. But I think that's just bullocks and this song is a vanguard piece of music and has a meaning to everyone who feel loss in their hearts. Thank you Evile for that awesome song!
