SUGGESTIONS FOR IMPROVEMENTS * rotate the walls of the bunker chute if you are more concern about soft-side raids coming from the door-raid path * upgrade the outer ring of foundations to sheet metal to prevent raiders picking out a stone foundation and raiding through foundations * upgrade the second-floor walls behind the chute and in front of the furnaces to sheet metal

Not to be that guy but look at my floor stacking tutorial on my channel you can get a more tight and consistent floor stack oh and btw one big flaw in your design for the starter into main is that if the floor stack is too tight you have to place the top floor first otherwise it won't let you place it plus with floor stacking you can create a double bunker
@justi89
@justi89 4 жыл бұрын
I'd consider moving the electricity from the floating wall in the bunker- if raiders rocket down the bunker, the floating wall will get destroyed in the process- thus turning off the turret inside bunker/core. Otherwise- great as always :)
@EvilWurst
@EvilWurst 4 жыл бұрын
@@brendaddyrust7785 yes, good approach you are proposing. How well does it work on a non-flat map with grass & clutter? Regarding the height: I was aware of that "flaw", hence, I tell viewers to test whether they can place the floor tiles :)

Think of this but with a clan base something 6 story's high would be 12 layers of floors . Does this also work for stacking walls? or doors? to be double thick both side and top ?.

Man... Thank you for re-designing this base. Your old V2 was my favorite and I experimented on it so many times (I doubled the turrets and added automatic doors which close in case a turret gets destroyed or runs out of ammo. So, I had the turrets on 24/7). Now to see a PhoenixV3, I am once more filled with joy and excitement. Thank you for your contribution to this community

Thanks for partially sticking to your original building style with lots of explanation. It was my favorite part of your videos. However, i will continue to use the mini frustrator because it has more storage, is easier to build, and doesn’t require exploits that make the base more challenging to build and easier to screw up. It also has around the same protection with less upkeep.

At this point you're an artist. Such a fantastic and well thought-out design. I do get a bit confused sometimes though trying to follow instructions, often lose track of the orientation if I'm following on a build server, and sometimes the upgrades happen too fast. I am still a noob tho, so maybe I just need to try the build out a few times to get comfortable. I can build the mini frustrator with my eyes closed now, but I gotta say it lived up to its name when I first tried to build it on a live server.

13:36 the bunker is still vulnerable to eco-raiding, as you can softside pick one od the surrounding walls and go under the bunker. You would either need to make those two walls out of 4 halfwalls or place floors inside of them

Or turn them around. The thing is, I can buy it that raiders jackhammer armoured pieces after they secured the base & have a work bench nearby. In this case, they would be running back and forth for ages after having caused lots of explosions and attracted counter raiders from near and far

Love the update to the Phoenix but not up my alley. I have however found a use for that holdover half height triangle in the serenity bunker build. Hey Evil, Ive been following ur builds since I started playing Rust, and Ive lately been trying to create my own base, and what I wanted to ask you was, if you could do like an overall guide on making bases. Id love to see that, your thought process when starting to build a base, your Ideas, where to put what etc, Ly! :)

I dislike roof stacking as a mechanic and I really hope it doesn't start a trend of my favorite builders making nothing but floorstacked bases from now on. But the Phoenix v2 was always one of my favorite bases, so I'm happy to see the design still get some use!
@EvilWurst
@EvilWurst 4 жыл бұрын
No worries. While with the new method, floor stacking has become quite easy, it's still a bit of a hassle at the start of the wipe. My bet is, most people will still opt for easy to build bases, like the Serenity.

I raided this base probably the week it came out. I was so confused. The most confusing part was when I broke a triangle ladder hatch and there was another one in the exact same spot. I thought I was seeing things. The defenders ended up making a mistake and sealing themselves into the TC room with an HQM wall though. So I guess neither of us get the loot!

So dumb to see how fast you’ve grown, I remember when u thanked me so much for the sub after you built me a whole base next to urs then gave me a tour of ur base, that’s true passion and this is innocent and great content. U only had a fraction of the subs back then and every time I come back to check ur channel it seems like ur subs double every time😂😂. Next time U see me in the comment section u better have 200k, u deserve it.

Just some info on how this base held up against a raid on a 2x solo/duo/trio server: I got offlined, the raider(s) raided from the roof right above where the chute is. They got through the top roof and went through the two ladder hatches in the chute before they gave up when they saw the triangle floor.
@reddeadeaglet5672
@reddeadeaglet5672 4 жыл бұрын
Needless to say, this base is great and does and really throws raiders off, and it wasn't too difficult to rebuild after the raid. The only thing that I find to be difficult with this base design is the initial placement of the triangle foundations because it's hard to get the gap between the two roofs as small as possible. I tried many times and couldn't get the timing right so my one triangle foundation was just too high above the other. That and ladder hatches are hard to find.

Hey Wurst, I love the base but whenever I try to place the foundations I can't put both the walls next to each other on top of the foundations at is says "Too close too another building". When I try to counter this by putting the foundations not as close it leaves that tiny gap. Any fixes? Also If I can't get it to work Is the base still strong without the floor stacking if I upgrade the roof to metal?
@RulaNovelis
@RulaNovelis 4 жыл бұрын
You have to put it as close as you can. Floor stacking requires manually perfectly placing foundations at a different height. Keep trying and practicing.

If you try this method on a hill you may experience that it doesnt stack properly, place a foundation to stand on to be completely level, so that the stack works!
