Sorry to correct you, but that's the fuel pump. Although it has a screening mesh that acts as a filter, it's a diaphragm fuel pump and it works with the delta pressure inside the intake manifold. Good luck!

Are you gonna do the upper crank sea.l your write there pop off the flywheel and mabe the stator. You should go ahead and do it while you've got it tore down. Good luck bud

The Carb is easy to rebuild. Just count the number of turns to close the needle valves, then open them the same number of turns afterward.

I just got a 1973 Evinrude 25hp outboard motor that was sitting for 2/1/2 years, and the thing is obviously seized up. So I'm trying to use marvel mystery oil and pb blaster in the cylinders. So hopefully it will break loose and free up. Thanks

Sand you gasket mating surfaces on a piece of glass to make sure they are flat...
