Evinrude's New G2 Series Challenges Outboard Paradigm

Evinrude dealers from around the globe as well as media and BRP staff attended the company's unveiling at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee in June.
The new G2 series E-Tec, including seven engines ranging from 200 to 300hp (200 H.O., 225, 225 H.O., 250, 250 H.O., 275 and 300 horsepower models), is completely redesigned from the ground up and offers a distinct new design, lower emissions, lower fuel consumption, numerous feature improvements as well as a selection of customizable colour panels.

Evinrude is a powerful name in outboards. I commend them for taking a risk with a bold design. The boxey look will grow on people. Look at the boxey 4Runner or new Tahoe.

Yes as nature uses 2 stroke energy all around us, all lightning bolts are 2 strokes! No cams, no valves, no oil or gas, just bang boom! i notice a lot of folks on here saying how much they hate this new etec outboard, why are they on here watching it if they hate it so much, hmmm.

Because, BRP product are all pure SHIT... (ski-doo, sea-doo, lynx, evinrude, rotax, can-am... etc.) NOT reliable... DON´T touch if you are not millionaire...

since Evinrude was sold to BRP who makes the god-awful motors for the worst reliability everything in the market...they have become the same. Insane futuristic looks, hard lines and still god awful reliability. I'd take a Merc or preferably a Yamaha over this even if it was half the price.

My buddy just bought a 200 for his whaler..paid I think 24k rigged.. 10 year warranty I believe he said.. I said are you nuts.. in CT... Personally I think this style looks like dog shit.. damn awfully ugly.. sorry for the french..🍋🍋

You can choose white which is like the most Standard color the Evinruude E-tec has if it's that imortant. in my opinion i think its nice that someone has the currage to move to next genertion and do not keep living in the past.The new g2 is the future:)
