I honest to God could not understand what it is like to go through it, I know it will always happen and hopefully they are in a much much better place then here. Knowing that possibility definitely makes it easy. Unfortunately nothing can take away the pain of the loss of someone so close, only time, and grieving in your own way. Yawing isn't necessarily the issue, it's the direction of movement vs the yaw angle, and the speed of the yaw. Fish tailing in the water at speed isn't good, and drifting/donuts in the water at speed is a recipe for rapid occupant ejection and potential watercraft deconstruction.

A lot of people don't realize driving on water is closer to flying a plane than driving a car (actually, could say it would be somewhat close to driving a car with rear wheel steering only). Turning is about momentum and hull angle/water drag.
