As someone who saw Miss Elena Roger live as Eva don’t be fooled with these recordings. She is incredible. Several people during intermission were saying it was spooky watching her onstage as they thought she was uncannily like the real Eva Peron. Elena is exceptional. She acts the hell out of this.

Not a great recording of Elena but she's still a really solid Eva. I realize she will forever be compared to Patti (who I honestly feel is slightly overrated), but I honestly think she does a great job with the role.

rickys Martin wasn't up to the challenge of acting against the awesome talent that is miss Roger! OK she doesn't come across well in a recording but on stage !!!! what a presence and what a performer!!!

Hate this version. As much as I love evita, they really improved the overall musical dramatically when it was adapted into a movie. I hate in the stage version where the instrumental before the end isn't repeated like it is in the movie.. it doesn't sound as good.
