in malaysia, whole rear end section transplant is illegal so we use to cut the rear skin quarter panel and transplant the rear floor pan (for awd conversion) seperately by maintaining the original rear wheelhouse and absorber tower mounting
@GRcorolla-bt3mn2 жыл бұрын
Is it possible to do an AWD conversion for a normal 2003 Lancer? The one that was known as cedia in India? Because those EVO7s had a different platform. For the AWD conversion should make custom mounts or any sort of bolt on is possible?
@umarfirdhaus84782 жыл бұрын
@@GRcorolla-bt3mn it is possible .. but need to transplant the rear boot floorpan with awd floorpan which is more flatten to make room for transfer case .. can be from airtrek turbo,cedia ralliart or lancer evo .. not really sure about the rear subframe but i think it is a direct bolt on if the floorpan has been swapped .. and awd set from airtrek turbo is much easier to plug and play compared to evo 7,8,9 .. another thing to take into consideration is airtrek and cedia rear absorber top mounts are much lower which attached to the same level of the floor .. while evo 7,8,9 still using the original position as past lancers which on the top edges of the wheelhouse .. so other things like arm,knuckles and other else can be plug and play .. but not the absorber

@nasimhaider2813 жыл бұрын
We have like tons of EVO and STI conversations..👍 We mostly prefer CKD conversions as it enables the swap to be as close as OEM factory builds. Apart from those old, boring LANCERS, regular Imprezas are much more easier to have a WRX/STI conversion as they already have AWD system from factory so there is no sort of cutting/welding for the AWD conversion. Mig Weld is time consuming and needs proper skills .. Honestly, EJ20s’ are much reliable and boost-friendly than those oil burning 4G63Ts’ .. Cheers on the build ✌🏻

I seriously think that the Indian government should Do something for the car community. We should be allowed to use valve tronick exhausts . So when we are in city we can keep the valves closed but when we need it on the highways we can get that good sound. And we should also be given some loose for our emissions. Like few hundred cars aren't going to pollute the whole city .
