Nice work! Love your contents, simple yet informative 👌 In regards to your ac condenser fan issue, that might be related to the fan control module. Mine went berserk as well until I changed it to a new one.

Thanks mate. I don't think the A/C condenser fan motor has a fan control module, its a simpler system. The radiator fan motor certainly does but the A/C side is controlled by the ECU and the heater control assembly and some relays. I hope to know more about this after my mate reads the ECU A/C tables. cheers

@@UzumakiGarage No worries. Could possibly be my radiator fan that was playing up then, but then again mine is an automatic. But yeah that sounds complicated enough! Hope it all goes well and to find out the culprit! Thanks mate.

I can't remember where I learned the trick about the air relief hole. But a quick google search says: "It makes it easier to burp the air out of the cooling system - the little hole keeps air from getting trapped under the thermostat."

Awesome camera angles and content! Exhaust sounds video soon?

Thank Kenji. I'm trying my best to make everything look more interesting, with lighting and multiple angles. Sometimes I think it works. Like the GoPro inside the toolbox shots. Good idea about the exhaust sounds, might have to wheel some more cars out of storage and film some Dyno runs.

What is the issue with low opening thermostats? I've had ralliart low opening in my 5 for 10 years and no motor issues?
@UzumakiGarage3 жыл бұрын
It's probably a combination of the car's tune and the constantly running A/C condenser fan. I'll know more after the ECU interrogation

Do u have to drain the coolant from the engine block? Im here looking for the drain plug for it.
@UzumakiGarageАй бұрын
You don't have to drain 100% of the coolant from the engine as almost all of it comes out thru the radiator drain plug with the radiator cap removed. The little bleeder valve in the thermostat should allow the coolant to drain from the the thermostat housing without removing the thermostat too (if you are not replacing the thermostat). A small amount of coolant will remain in the throttle body, the turbo housing & hoses and the heater core in the cabin. You could flush it out the system with demineralised water if you want to, but I just change the coolant more often than the service interval suggests instead.

@DARREN_STI_WANG what evo are you working on?
@poyzdb3 жыл бұрын
If your fan is always on, your fan control module (mounted on the radiator fan shroud near the intake pipe) is probably dead. Low temp thermostat + fan always on means the car never gets to normal operating temp.

Thanks mate but it’s the A/C condenser fan constantly running, not the radiator fan.
