Hello again DWN SHFT , can’t thank you enough for the vid. This has been a tremendous help. I’m back at my head removal again. I was trying to remove the exhaust manifold from the head, ( what a pain) it’s so tight , but seen you disconnected the exhaust manifold from the turbo instead, less bolts and slightly. easier to get to.👍

Good vid sir👍… I need to remove my head as well,, I fear I have the same issue, but with cylinder 3. I’ve done compression tests, and cylinder 3 is zero. How much was it to replace your cylinder 4 with a new pistion?

If you have a broken piston might as well change all of them with forged pistons with stronger rods/ new race bearings.

I’m almost certain the valve is damaged in cylinder 3. I need to remove the head first, thanks again, for posting the vid, it’ll come in handy.👍 Ill only replace the pistons if necessary… I hope there is no piston damage, I’d prefer not to replace them. The valves most definitely will need to be changed.

How much power were you putting down and for now many miles? Do you know why it happened?

edward bernal 350hp 350tq on mustang Dyno at 28psi. Not exactly sure why but high boost numbers and maybe car ran lean for some time is my guess

Why hold the cams in place?
@DWNSHFTco3 жыл бұрын
When you take the chain off, the cams can rotate since they’re under spring pressure, if it rotates fast it can damaged valves so to be safe I hold it in place and slowly release the pressure

Oh ok I see thanks, also when removing cylinder head since taking off the manifold with head technically can in bolt the 4 bolts and nuts attached to manifold and turbine housing without taking the entire turbo off correct?
