As of right now theres no rust but i live in a dry climate area, and yes still working good and the carbon fiber hasn't faded either

Could you compress them with your hands before installing? I ordered a pair and stupidly didn’t check until after I had installed them and unfortunately, I think I got a bad pair and they wouldn’t compress. Had to take them off. To everyone getting these, check to make sure they work first lol

I actually couldnt fully compress them till they were on the car, and sorry man that sucks

Yeah they would not compress easily without the weight of the hood. I also didn't check this on my mine first and ran into the same issue when I came across this video. Hopefully you didn't return them and maybe this can help someone else: the instructions aren't great but there is a section where they basically tell you that you have to twist the reservoir in a clockwise direction and once you do that both sides will then compress. Guessing that some come with that already done and others don't?

Are the ends of the struts plastic or are they metal?

They are plastic with metal clips

No problems at all, they're still strong and the carbon fiber still looks new no fading
