Just be aggressive against homelander. He has a terrible wake up so he struggles when the other person is aggressive. Johnny pressure can easily be regained, and his start ups are ridiculous.

The best part was when they had to re-run the first match of top 6 because the console wasn't online and thus didn't have the most recent balance patch active in what I can only describe as the most Mortal Kombat/WB thing. Seriously, why not just have the balance patch download to the system locally like every other video game ever created since patching became a thing, rather than have it only work while it is actively online? MK and WB should be banned from Evo forever. What a joke.

I don't think the problem is that there are mirrors, if the players were able to express themselves through their gameplay more then you would still have lots of gameplay variety even in dittos, like in other fighting games. But each character only has so many strings and combos so you tend to see a lot of the same.

I'd prefer some changes to how burst works, but there was more character variety in MK1's top 6 than there was in Tekken 8, and the footsies game of MK is fun to watch, since you can't walk back and block at the same time, among other things. No need to yuck someone else's yum.

@@IC2I I'm well aware. There are 8 games featured at Evo. I watched 4 of them, and I flat out don't like 3 of the other 4. I don't need to go to their Evo videos and say how boring I find those games to be. It's a weird chip people have on their shoulders about MK.
