Yes it was supposed to be a twist in bb3 like "oh every bb has a different protagonist" only to subvert everything with the reveal of hakumen identity. But due to the humble beginning of bb1 and the bb3 being released only in Taiwan ragna was THE face of bb worldwide, so by the time bb4 came out they just sticked with hakumen following from the previous mainline game

Wrong. Ragna was always meant to be the main character, but Arc System Works wanted a more traditional looking hero, so Mori promoted Jin to the main character status in BB1. This manifests itself in a meta way by Jin feeling "forced" into his hero role.

Man BlazBlue 1-3 where truly the peak Jim’s arc was truly beautiful I cried when he said to Noel “begone wretched brother stealer” and threw himself in the cauldron I am so happy he returned and vowed to cleanse this world as the white warrior of justice Hakumen. The reveal of it was perfect and genius the emotion of Thot worshipper Mai showed when he realised his true identity was on par from when Ragna said to Jubei “no matter where he is I will find him and kill him” truly a trilogy of games made with love and care

honestly its kind of a shame theres so many fake blazblue games mixed in with the real series i have loads of childhood memories of blazblue 4 overture, but newer fans to the series might miss some of the jokes and think that blazblue cross tag battle and entropy effect are real titles in the series, please consider your trolling more carefully next time! very funny though

Fun fact, that's not actually a mod; Tidus really was in BlazBlue 3. Apparently square wanted to repeat the incredible success of their earlier promotional crossover with what is now widely considered the greatest fighting game ever made, Ehrgeiz, so they made a deal to put Tidus in BlazBlue 3 to promote the upcoming Final Fantasy X. Unfortunately for Square, since BB3's development was famously so delayed, it ended up coming out 2 years after FFX did.
