It is true that he has only one win to his name and 99 loses in the SNES and Wii versions, however in the original arcade game, the very first Punch Out game to be released, Joe’s record along with all the other boxers is unknown, and since he is constantly attacking in that game and his only weak spot is his chin, it could be possible that this Glass Joe is different than the one from the console, in the arcade game Joe actually is a lot harder than the SNES game

Here is my personal theory on what happened: While Nick Bruiser was climbing up to the special circuit, Glass Joe was the first opponent. While they fought, Bruiser was getting his punches blocked, not able to land a hit. And when Joe finally punched Bruiser, it was so pitiful that Bruiser fell down in laughter. But the ref didn't notice, and he gave Bruiser the 10 count. When he realized he was down, it was too late. The referee already counted to 10. After Nick explained what happened, his loss was wiped, but Glass Joe got to keep his one win. Edit: No comment is complete without this.. Release The Bogus.
