I have to say King Kong 2005’ because the creators and Andy Serkis really elaborated on Kong’s nature as a gorilla in the way he looked, moved, expressed himself, and his sheer athleticism and might. Yes, he was entirely CG and one of the most modestly sized of the Kongs’, but it’s hard not to have a huge sweet spot for him. He was easy to feel for. My eyes were welling up when he got shot down and knocked out with chloroform, and I know I’m not the only one. The 76’ Kong was lovable as well, and had, to me the most unbearable death to watch; shot down with mini guns. He got pulverized everywhere! It’s insane he was actually still alive after his fall off the World Trade Center long enough for Dwan to see him pass. Really sad to watch.

I basically grew up with the 2005 King Kong. I was about 5 when it first came out in theaters. I don’t remember ever feeling scared, but feeling sympathy for him. I DO remember my dad took me to the theater to see it, but when we got to the scene with the guys in the pit being attacked by multiple giant monsters, my dad took us out to switch to “Chicken Little” 😂

I know a lot of people hate on it, but I think my favorite is Peter Jackson's "King Kong" simply because of Andy Serkis' performance. He's such an amazingly good performer with motion capture. The stop-motion of the original "King Kong" is a very close second for me. =)

I also love that King Kong movie from 2005 too even if I didn't have the nostalgia for the original King Kong movie as I did with other stop motion movies and shows like the ones from Aardman since 2005 was my first introduction/gateway to the King Kong media along with my two favorite guilty pleasure cartoons of King Kong like the Kong 2000 animated series that I use to watch on Jetix growing up and the Rankin Bass King Kong cartoon I discovered and thought it was adorable because of his design lol. Truth Seeker You clearly underestimate Godzilla. He’s gotten faster after the 2014 movie and he’s proven many great feats in the comics which are canon to the Monsterverse. I doubt Kong will win again since he’s already gotten a victory over Godzilla in 1960. They’re gonna have Godzilla win this time cause he’s the freaking King of Monsters. Kong simply won cause he was more iconic at the time, but now that Godzilla has evolved over the years he’s gotten more popularity than the giant ape. Believe what you wanna believe though. @Boxing Mind It was "more monster-like" due to technological limitations. The animals in the 1933 King Kong movie were considered realistic back then. Also LMFAO "2005 was just a big gorilla lol", top fucking kek. That's literally what the 1933 one was supposed to be, and guess what? It was smaller than the 2005 one making it much closer to a real animal. There were things about 1933 that were better than 2005, but 2005 is in a whole other league compared to the 1933 movie. Saying otherwise is just being a disingenuous clown. Also it absolutely isn't more iconic as most modern people have only ever heard of the 2005 one or fuck, even the stupid Monsterverse "Kong".

The Kong from '62 Kong vs Godzilla is BY FAR the biggest..... He is 44 feet taller then '17 Skull Island Kong..... But the true size advantage comes in weight, as the '62 Kong weighs 20,000 tons, he comes in massively heavier then any other Kong....

You do realize that all that stuff is just fan speculation, right...? And the '62 Kong, just like the '33 original, changed size when the director needed it to happen for the perspective of a scene. If the 1962 Kong is the same size when he climbs the Diet Building as he is when he fights Godzilla, the woman he's holding is suddenly ~15 feet tall.
