to think that life has existed for so long is a beautiful feeling. it's a testament to the endurance and adaptability of nature, no matter the hardship, at least one seed will always grow.

Very fascinating. What a legacy Mother Nature has bestowed us with. I was already fascinated with the evolution of life (prehistoric life); everything concerning natural history, but this channel has further reinforced my fascination through the use of top-notch, scientifically accurate illustrations. I especially like the message at the end; indeed if humanity continues at the current pace, it will be disastrous for our own species and Earth's fauna and flora. But there is still time to reverse the effects of global warming, pollution and other human-related activities. This channel is such a goldmine that I had to share it with others. Keep up the excellent work 👍. - Irfaan Hafejee

This channel and your beautiful art has helped me to better appreciate the beauty of the ancient world and I would be very sad to see you go. Man, I love these timeline videos! It's so interesting to see how our world and its inhabitants have changed over eons. And of course the art is excellent as ever. I love the new additions that weren't in the first timeline video (Boedaspis, Idoptilus, Xinpusaurus, Eodromaeus, Hypuronector, Massospondylus, Australovenator, Atrociraptor, Ardipithecus, etc.) It's so awe inspiring and makes me so happy. It's always so refreshing to see well made and accurate art on display like this. Mario, I hope your videos get more views, you desperately deserve it. They're so well made and it's so infuriating seeing art like this get little attention yet other garbage channels get tons. It really does suck. You're not alone in feeling that. But what makes you and your channel better is your passion for ancient life and quality content, which is something those other channels sorely lack. Please don't stop making these wonderful videos, no matter how much life or KZbin may get you down. In my opinion you're one of the most underrated channels on the platform. You are the GOAT. KZbin and those other awful channels can go f**k themselves. I love your art, your videos, and your passionate efforts. ❤️💛💚 I don't know if this helped you feel less discouraged about YT and whatnot, but I hope it did.

Por supuesto los vídeos de comparación de mala calidad llevan menos tiempo de preparación y son mejor recibidos por el público general, lo cual es muy frustrante. I strongly suggest doing a speculative evolution video on alien planet about the creatures of Darwin IV from the tv movie plus some creatures from the book.

The books by Dougal Dixon are the only other speculative evolution topics I could think of. I may suggest that you ask for the collaboration of your audience like you did with your hybrids.

Hey Mario, Isn't Scutosaurus part of the Parareptilia clade which has a single temporal fenestra, therefore belongs to Anapsida? Magnificent video by the way.

@@MarioLanzas. Yeah, some say Turtles are living anapsids, but genetic evidence tells that they are diapsids. Scutosaurus was the largest among those extinct Anapsids.

notes to consider: -the Ediacaran is technically not part of the Paleozoic, but it's included anyway. -The locations are rough estimates based on the fossil record and some degree of speculation (hot spots are where the evidence is, the softer red is a possible larger range) - the video is designed mostly to be watched rather than read. the additional information probably requires pausing or slowing the speed down. -MYA: Million years ago This video took me longer than expected to make but it's finally here! Could some kind soul explain to me what an archosaur is? I Googled it for a definition, but I really don't get it, and how it's related to non avian dinosaurs and non dinosaurs like Dimetrodon. I know it's related somehow, but I just don't get how.
@mstalcup
@mstalcup 2 жыл бұрын
Archosaurs form a monophyletic clade. That means they all descend from a common ancestor and anatomical features should link them all together somehow. All archosaurs are diapsids, but certainly not all diapsids are archosaurs. Today, the diapsids comprise all animals we would call reptiles, including birds. Dimetrodon was a synapsid, therefore could not have been an archosaur. Archosaurs divided into two main groups: Avemetatarsalia (including dinosaurs and pterosaurs) and Pseudosuchia (including crocodilians). Of course within Avemetatarsalia, only the dinosaurs remain.
