@scribblescrabble3185Ай бұрын
adblocker is your friend
@ll7868Ай бұрын
KZbin doesn't place the ads unless they're set to auto. Any monetized video under 8 minutes can have 1 ad at the beginning, videos over 8 minutes can have as many ads as the uploader wants, they can place them where they want in the video or set it to auto which YT will then place ads at even intervals. Uploaders can ban ads they don't agree with. If you don't want to see ads at all toss your YT app in your Recycle Bin, delete it. Download AdBlocker then "Favorite" the YT Homepage in your Browser and use that link to log in, it works exactly the same.

I'm really thankful that creationists tend to ask to see ridiculous sounding animals! Many years ago I heard "So if evolution is true, prove it! Show me a fish with feet!" ad nauseum from the creationists in my life - which is why the day I finally saw a video of a snub nosed bat fish walking along the sea floor I realized creationist were full of shit & started really questioning what I'd been told - becoming an atheist shortly thereafter

Creationists like to point out that we don't have fossil evidence of eggs for the early therapsids like cynodonts. Though if they were ovoviparous (which would be an expected intermediary state between egg-laying and live birth anyway) or their shell didn't fossilise well, it obviates the problem. They also ignore that monotremes are basically living fossils in the ancestral state of proto-mammals, as well as the vitellogenin pseudogene fragments both placentals and marsupials share.

Female horse (spieces 1) and male donkey (spieces 2) produce mule (spieces 3) which is infertile. Where is the intelligent design on this? Evolution theory has answer on this: horses and donkeys come from common ancestor, still though under certain conditions can produce a third spieces, which however cannot survive in the long run (which is why mules are infertile).

I’d argue that every animal you could point at is part of a transitional species. It’s a smooth(ish) graph from one to the next, and there’s basically never a big jump that can be seen. I think that’s part of the problem. People imagine a Pokemon style transformation rather than a thousand generations of slow divergence.
@KianaWolf29 күн бұрын
I like the way Erika / Gutsick Gibbon describes speciation, as a color gradient where you can't point to the one pixel where it went from definitely red to definitely orange. Because clades are observable facts, but species are just convenient nomenclature for discussion. Speciation is a perpetual process.

Early mammal reaches into pouch and pulls out a gun. "Whoa, whoa, be cool!" "$&@% off." "I was, uh, just going to congratulate you on the eggs!" "Sure. Mazel tov. Now $&@% off." I think this is also the point where the differences in size between males and females (mammals and marsupils) will kick in. Females need to store biomass to grow and feed their offspring, while the males don't. This helps the males, by having more biomass, to grow their muscles and generally in size.

I consider it telling that this person uses a YT handle of Dr. [etc], yet I cannot help but wonder if there is any higher learning involved in his use of the title?
