This is a commercial by Riddell itself. If they had felt the 360 to be worth mentioning, they would have done so. Obviously it wasn't their greatest product.

I played in an amateur league in Australia, joining back in 1987. We had to buy our own gear. I still have my helmet to this day for memorabilia reasons.

haha I play here in Australia and if you dont want gear thats 20 years old you have to buy them yourself, thats why I bought the speedflex last year and its been a worthwhile investment

The Riddell 360 was pretty much the precursor to the Speedflex. The 4 quick release facemask clips and the frontal and face frame were new technologies the speed didn’t have. I liked it and so did some of my teammates. Should’ve been included in the timeline.

Read a cool article years ago about how helmet manufacturers (sports and military) have studied woodpeckers extensively - they know the principles of brain suspension enabling the birds to rapidly peck at hard wood with no harm, but they - the helmet makers - just can't duplicate it!
