I personally like the DS version, the simplicity is Great, it doesn't try to be elegant or extravagant. Kinda like Snes rainbow road from Mk8

Yeah the mario kart 8 version doesn't even have the blimp which was one of the background elements in the original. So be fair though they kinda changed the background in cheese land and ribbon road too. The tour version does though but it does not say luigi on It kinda sucks with mario kart 8 the gba courses are kinda changed to much while everything else is pretty much a better looking copy of the original.

Holy crap, it's a rare individual who isn't total garbage at playing super circuit. It's pretty much tied for my favorite kart racer alongside crash team racing. DS is way up there too.

i been so disappointed with pretty much every MKSC track that has been remade on MK8. It's like nintendo doesn't even care about them. This was one of my favorite tracks on the GBA, I was happy to see it on the DS too, and I wanted to see a remade rendition that would make me cry it's so good, but I couldn't be more disappointed. It's not even the same track.

@@waynejohnson9374 I disagree. My favourite tracks to play include GBA Mario Circuit and Ribbon Road. They're both technical tracks that are fun to play and get good at. Even though Ribbon Road looks and feels nothing like the original, that's redeemed by its interesting visuals and how fun it is play. They just dropped the ball on Sky Garden. It's not a very interesting track to play at all, and the sense of scale from this track is way too small. Ribbon Road changed for the better, but Sky Garden changed for the worse.

MK8 Retro Tracks rarely had anti-gravity, like 6 out of the 16 actually used the anti-gravity. I do think the DLC may have anti-gravity for Merry Mountain and Vancouver Velocity.

I like the creamy white colors better, it makes it look a bit more dreamy, the clean white makes it feel a bit sterile in my opinion and also less unique in comparison to the other sky routes in MK8

Its a readaption of the course, if you see other retro tracks youll see thats they have the same treatment, just look at rainbow road n64 in this game, and its not bad, nostalgia not always need to be better

they shortened the track for no damn reason, removed some shortcuts and removed some curves, readaptation my ass and N64 rainbow road, at least has it's original layout in the game, you just don't do 3 laps The other GBA tracks in the game retained their original layout and are far better upgrades than the originals, this isn't the case Sorry, this version is terrible, i will stick to DS GBA Sky Garden

changes because i feel like it GBA - The original DS - The Luigi Blimp picture is different, jump pads are now full on ramps, the vines are taller (i think), but besides visual changes not much was changed Tour - the jump at the beginning was removed, the first shortcut is now bouncing off leaves instead of going off of a ramp, the zigzag-ish turn after was removed in favor of bouncing off of a mushroom, the track after is straighter than the original, the third shortcut was probably changed to be going under the vines at the end, and the ramp on the left near the finish was changed to a mandatory glide ramp (also the luigi blimp was changed to say Mario Kart Tour instead) Switch - the road is now orange instead of a light green, and the blimp was removed in favor of having airships flying around, but other than visual changes (and the upscale) not much was changed

While strikingly different from the base game courses, I really enjoyed the booster course pass. Its just more Mario Kart, simple as that! Now this is kind of a hot take but hear me out, I would like to see the cartoony art style from tour fully realized I the next game, kinda like how the booster pack tracks look like, some may consider it a downgrade but it's honestly really good in its own merits. We just need some higher poly count tracks and we're set

To be honest, I think the new look is more fitting of Mario Kart’s general art style across the whole series. As much as I like the realistic graphics of the base tracks, I alway envision Mario Kart with a more cartoony look. I agree with you on this.

I like DS and Switch version. DS stays true to the original version which I like. While the Switch version does use the same map as Tour, Switch is superior in a few ways. It looks cleaner, has better controls and better music, actually 3 laps
