8:09 lol I gotta say I was SUPER impressed with my OLED Switch. Not happy at the price, but really does feel like such a real electronic device now instead of a kids toy. I’m so picky so I’m very pleased at the color accuracy and image smoootheness.

Yeah, I was a little put off by the price too. Having said that and paid for it, it's my go to now for playing in handheld mode. That screen makes all games look incredible!

Heres something you didnt know, The oled just has a hidden dev option that changes the color data to look more vibrant. If the other switch systems used a feature like most tvs and devices had for the last 2 decades. That allow you to change saturation, hue, and other settings. If the other switch models had that feature open to the end user the oled litterally would be pointless. If you hook up a non oled switch to a oled tv. Change the color settings. Youd get the exact same results and save money doing so. So, the "enhanced" screen visuals is actually a scam. Kinda like how if you use a av out and hdmi on a xbox 360 on a uhd tv. You would litterally see no difference. If you modded your switch oled to see what its actually suppose to output. Than, youd get the same visuals as every other switch ,

@@sujimatsubackupaccount194 Nope not true. I don’t even play with vivid mode on. I play with the same saturation as the regular Switch. Because of OLED tech, the image is more uniform and more present, with deeper blacks and higher contrast for a much better picture with more clarity. And.. yeah you could get the same result by playing the regular Switch on an…OLED screen. That’s the whole point. It’s not a scam. OLED is literally describing the technology of the built-in display.

Can't believe a video on this subject already exists. Its hard to believe that the Switch's lifespan is going to end even though it really seems like it was just getting started. Kinda was expecting you to never upload again, since it has been so long, but I was incorrect. It is really great to see you back!

I'm thinking they could do a hybrid like a Switch but you can also stream your games onto your TV without docking the console like with the Wii U controller. Maybe also make the handheld part dual screen like the DS.

Incredible video, as always! I have the Switch Lite and the Animal Crossing Edition Switch, but still use the Lite 90% of the time. I’m skipping the Switch OLED for now but if Nintendo comes out with a Lite OLED version, I’d definitely get it. Love your content, keep it up!

First off: Your channel is criminally underrated. Production quality, scripting, narration, and music is all on par with top tier youtubers. I jumped in with the OLED because I was afraid of buyers remorse from switch pro rumors. I also was also wrongly scared of performance issues. I think the build quality of OLED is what the original switch should have been. Small bezels, amazing kickstand, and the general fit just feel like what Switch was meant to be. As far as performance, I have been loving playing older AAA games on it. Skyrim and AC4 have been a joy to play on the go or otherwise. Nintendo IP's have always been more my thing anyways, so to have them with me everywhere is better than anything an Xbox1 or PS4 could offer. I now have a smash or mario kart tournament ready in my backpack at all times. TL:DR Subscribe to this man and buy a switch!

I never have any console before i bought the switch oled. Gotta say, i REALLY LOVE the OLED screen. One thing that i hate about it though, is the weight of the console (it's really heavy). But still, the OLED is great for me

The OLED is great! That's the Switch I use the most. I like the way the Lite feels, but the screen isn't as good. If only Nintendo would put an OLED screen in the Lite. That would be my go to Switch

I don''t think it is worth it for such a major price jump, if it wasn't as big a jump it would be, we got our switch last Christmas just as the OLED was releasing, reason we chose our switch is because we got it bundled with Mario Kart, 3 month's of Nintendo Switch Online and with the price we paid we would have paid more than £100 just to have the bigger screen, not to mention having to buy the games, although in saying that we don't use our Switch handheld very much, only if someone is watching something or we travel, so I guess it also depends on the way you use your switch, but we have it docked 90% of the time so the improvements don't make a massive difference to us, any version though you can't go wrong with, I am just so grateful and happy to finally have a switch after wanting one since launch and I love the console so much.

The Switch is an amazing console. Like you said, if you play with it docked most of the time, it really doesn't matter which version you get that is able to be docked. I'm also really like the Switch Lite. I just took mine on a quick trip this week and I have to say, it's probably my favorite version currently. It's insanely comfortable to play.

I was on the fence about making this video because of the V2 not being much of a difference. But I settled on making because they are different. Even if it's ever so slightly. Though I get what you're saying.

@@NeanderMeander it would be kinda like a 3ds but with the hybrid aspect of the switch. A main gripe that I have with the switch is the lack of music. The 3ds feels a lot more "friendly" than the switch: main menu music, eShop music, everywhere you go on the 3ds, there's a neat little tune that is very memorable. For example, the 3ds's internet settings main theme is really nice, like the mii channel theme. Meanwhile the switch has no main menu music, no internet settings music, the only place that you hear music on the switch is when you're playing a game. So in conclusion, basically a 3ds, but I can stream it/connect it to a tv. Thanks for asking! Have a nice day.

So, fun fact. The oled just chages color contrast to look more color rich. When, infact all prior switch systems could do the exact same thing. Tvs and mobile devices actually allow you to change color tones for decades. An tv monitors litterally have a color menu . That makes the oled rather overpriced and not needed. If the switch v1-1.5 models had color menus to change saturation, hues, and what not. Nintendo litterally would have no reason to sell the oled model. Because, there would be no benefits . If the lcd models had those options.

@@NeanderMeander It's just that the wii u carries this stigma of being one of Nintendo's worst console when it's not true at all when in fact it might be better then the switch in some ways. Short example, some games play better on the wii u due to utilizing the gamepad as a second screen making it very fun and unique. 5 to 6 years from now, the wii u will be the next sega Saturn. It will sought after and prices will skyrocket.
