Being retired and living on acerage, I am very much in tune with the sun, waking at sunrise to get the outside jobs done in the cool of the day. Whilst I don't hunt my own meat, I do grow my own vegetables so eat food that is not micro processed as I believe is eaten the USA. Unfortunately, I'm part of the current world and do feel a little guilty (only a.little!) if my house is not clean. Hunter Gathers did/do not stay in the same place and, therefore, there was/is not that stress. Very interesting topic!

When I was young, I lived a very physical life. I worked in construction and loved the hard physical work. Then I got old and broke down. So now I live a farmer life (in retirement), we bought a hobby farm where I can still have the physicality in a measured way. Our life takes us through stages, but we have to stay true to ourselves. I am so lucky to have a wife that understands my inner beast.

What I've learned from hunter-gatherer ancestors is that the number of egalitarian members of such a band with family and/or friends ties are between 1 and 2 dozen people. Beyond that range a consensus is difficult and a chief or patron is required for decision making and out of the window goes equality once and for all. My own 'band' of family & friends I rely on is within this hunter-gatherer range. Please check out yours.

I remember once watching someone on an iPhone, trying to get some KZbin video to play about whether or not polar bears would go extinct or would they be able to evolved in time? At the moment, I couldn’t help seeing the similarities between us and our technology. Our technology is so much further advanced than our mental evolution or physical evolution is. I have to ask will we have enough time to adapt to evolve?

The processed foods and many cosmetics and hygiene products are also filled with endocrine disrupters and carcinogens. It’s really quite atrocious what passes as acceptable for sale. Profit over concern for humanity.

Little or no mention of the most important food in hunter gatherer societies namely animal fat which was essential to allow brain development and is a very healthy food unlike carbohydrates.

What? We don't have to work all the time so that other people can get absurdly rich? The billionaires won't like that one bit.
