That’s a fair assessment. When doing research on how this game died out, one of the problems was with how repetitive the games could get. I still think the game did some cool stuff, by dealing with a new genre.

Bottom line the player base killed this game players complaining about skins for purchase day one and most skins locked behind a pay wall but everything else for the game was released for free to everyone ( maps , monsters hunters etc ) as to not break up the player base but we all know the most important thing to players nowadays is how cool they have to look online but the part I find the most funny is people will dump hundreds of dollars into call of duty skins which is just a rinse and repeat game year after year but an amazing game like this with so much innovation gets killed off because of micro transactions smh so sad and the worst part is we probably will never see a game like this again because no one wants to suffer the same fate as turtle rock if this game was re released I would nab it in a second and yes the salt is real with me about this game and I’m sure I’m not alone

It’s more like a lot of the practices that are normalized now was implemented for the first time here and people didn’t like it. Makes you wish the game was put out later. The sad point about a sequel is that they technically already did that and not enough people played it I guess. If we wanted to see this game again, it would have to be its own new game. Take the mechanics that worked from the previous game but innovate even more. I’m right there with you with the salt on this one!
