I enjoyed watching this video. I am 68 and always had regular check ups. Ironically I have lost about 3 teeth and this was dental negligence. I recently had a wisdom tooth removed as the dentist never noticed I had a huge cavity in it it was a hygienist who informed me, so much for check ups. Ironically the one in front of the wisdom tooth I lost because another dentist did a bodge job with a filling and caused so many issues I found another practice who told me the tooth had to come out. On the subject of fluoride 30 years ago I stopped using fluoride I then started getting problems with my fillings and getting cavities even though I have always been careful with cleaning. I started re using fluoride and my teeth significantly improved so a bit nervous about stopping fluoride again. However I am interested in hydroxyapatite which I was researching only a few days ago so it may be something to look at as I do prefer natural things. I now have 5 crowns as sadly a lot of back teeth have been filled to death. Sadly when I was a child in 50' s and 60's dentists sometimes deliberately filled teeth as at the time they were paid by tooth, so I am determined to look after my remaining teeth. I am certainly looking into the hydroxyapatite though. Thank you for an interesting video.

It’s important to remember that the amount of vitamin D we can absorb from the sun varies greatly based on the time of day, the time of year, distance from the equator, skin pigmentation and genetics. Absorbing 10,000 IU in 20 minutes is probably closer to the best case scenario. For that to happen, you’d need to be fair skinned with a lot of that skin exposed to the sun and you’d need to be in a country close to the equator in summer. I just think it’s important to mention this in case somebody thinks that 20 minutes of sun in October in London is all they need to get an adequate amount of vitamin D.

@@EvolveDentalHealing true story- years ago, i had a tooth that was aching /sensitive. I was open to the idea of having it pulled out or a root canal. Before going to the dentist, i casually asked someone i knew if he had any remedy for my toothache. (this person happens to be into alternative /holistic healing.) he suggested the saltwater soak. So i did try it omg. That same day, the pain went away! I have been doing the saltwater mouth soak almost daily. I dont swish it around my mouth/between teeth because the swishing might cause dental fillings to loosen due to the pressure /friction. I use himalayan pink salt or natural sea salt, whatever is available. I dont use the regular fine table salt that is usually used in restaurants. @EvolveDentalHealing14 күн бұрын
There is no scientific evidence to suggest that drinking high-cocoa dark chocolate increases or doubles teeth stem cells. While dark chocolate does contain compounds that may have some health benefits, such as antioxidants, there is no specific research linking it to increased teeth stem cell production. It's important to note that teeth stem cells are a specific type of stem cell found in the dental pulp, and they play a role in tooth development and repair. While dark chocolate may have some general health benefits, it's unlikely to have a direct impact on teeth stem cells.

Regarding vitamin d intake. When the body produces vitamin d from sunlight, it can actually down-regulate vit d production to avoid toxicity and probably other reasons. When you're supplementing, your body can't regulate levels in this way, because the vitamin is already formed. It's not enough to say, "You get so much vit d from so much sunlight, therefore there's no way it could be a problem". The human body really isn't that simple.

If you have no pain, the cavity remains the same and your enamel is not cracked or broken away you can opt to leave and monitor. I would advise a regular X-ray to ensure it's not getting bigger. This video may help: kzbin.info/www/bejne/fHyvcmVolreHbs0si=nlhmpGd1eaAvHEf5

Not to be at all contrary, but dr Ellie points out that you can heal a cavity ( as you say) and then it will re-minetalise so the enamel will, to a cettain extent , grow back over that area. In fact even down ro the dentine can be repaired if you are strict in your regumen of reducing acid and increasing your saliva eg with xylitol. It can take upto 2 yrs to heal cavity & re-build enamel. I dont agred with Dr Ellie on fluoride though !😊

What about rubbing grape seed extract?
@EvolveDentalHealing27 күн бұрын
that is anti-inflammatory and may help with your gums but not so much for tooth decay/remineralisation This is for informational purposes only. For medical advice or diagnosis, consult a professional. Grape seed extract, a natural supplement rich in antioxidants, has shown promise in promoting oral health. While it's not a substitute for regular dental care, it may offer additional benefits when used alongside a healthy oral hygiene routine. Here's how grape seed extract might contribute to dental health: Antibacterial properties: Grape seed extract has been found to inhibit the growth of bacteria that contribute to plaque formation and gum disease. This can help reduce inflammation and promote healthier gums. Antioxidant effects: Antioxidants in grape seed extract can help protect teeth and gums from oxidative stress, which can damage cells and contribute to inflammation. Potential for remineralisation: Some studies suggest that grape seed extract may help promote the remineralisation of tooth enamel, which can help repair early tooth decay. May improve the longevity of dental fillings: Research indicates that grape seed extract could strengthen dentin, the layer beneath tooth enamel, potentially making resin fillings last longer. While these findings are promising, it's important to note that research on grape seed extract and dental health is still ongoing. More studies are needed to fully understand its benefits and determine the optimal dosage and application methods. Remember, grape seed extract should be used as a supplement to good oral hygiene practices, not a replacement for them. Regular brushing, flossing, and professional dental checkups remain essential for maintaining optimal oral health.

@EvolveDentalHealing11 күн бұрын
sorry if the nerve is breached/dead the only options at this stage are to remove the diseased tooth or to treat it with a root canal. An onlay is a different type of porcelain restoration so won't work in your situation

@EvolveDentalHealing11 күн бұрын
an onlay is a way of restoring a missing tooth - it has nothing to do with fixing the issue of a diseased nerve/pulp inside the tooth. So as you ask about needing a root canal and what you options are then an onlay does not address the need for a root canal or extraction. It is a filling but made from porcelain rather than done directly into the tooth in the chair

I've heard that brushing with bentonite clay remineralises the teeth, is there any truth in that? Thanks
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
yes it can help due to the minerals in it but be careful as some can be quite abrasive
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
Bentonite clay while it does contain minerals like calcium and magnesium, which are essential for strong teeth, there's limited scientific evidence to definitively support its claim to remineralise teeth. Bentonite clay is known for its absorbent properties. It can bind to toxins and impurities, potentially helping to clean the mouth and teeth. However, its ability to directly remineralise teeth is still under debate. Potential Benefits Natural cleaning: Bentonite clay can help remove plaque and surface stains. Mineral content: It provides essential minerals like calcium and magnesium. Antibacterial properties: Some studies suggest it may have antibacterial effects. Considerations Abrasiveness: While it can be effective, excessive use of bentonite clay can be abrasive to tooth enamel. Lack of scientific evidence: There's limited research to prove its remineralisation claims.

This all sounds interesting, but I didn’t hear the orthodontist talk about K2. D3 alone will not optimize your calcium intake without implementing K2 along with it. Calcium tends to deposit in your arteries and soft tissue like your joints which leads to cardiovascular, inflammation, and arthritis issues. K2 along with D3 moves calcium into your bones and teeth where it should be and not in you arteries and joints !

if you have an abscess you have a severe infection and that needs to be treated. Ignoring it or trying to manage it is not the answer. I have done a few videos on gum disease and how to deal with it but if you have tartar and bacteria under your gums that needs professional care. Its about working together with your dentist and applying a holistic approach that works best.

Hi, I found this random mouthwash in the house and I want to ask if it’ll help with teeth decay. Currently seeing white spot on my yellow teeth. Lots of ache in teeth Ingredient: Purified Water, Glycerin, Sorbitol, PEG-40 hydrogenated castor oil, Menthol, Colloidal Silver andrographis paniculata extract (green chiretta), Lactuca Indica Extract (dandelion), Chlohexidine gluconat, Flos Chrysanthemi Extract, Fragrance EIC Instructions: Swish 10 to 15ml for 1 minute, then spit out Use 2-3 times Don’t eat 30 minutes after Use in treatment of gum recession, gum bleeding, cavities, tooth ache Also do you recommend waiting 30 minute before brushing?
@EvolveDentalHealingАй бұрын
Chlorhexidine is for short-term use to heal gum inflammation - it will stain your teeth and there are concerns about it being linked to lowering the production of nitric oxide and increasing the risk for high blood pressure. Chlorhexidine is more of an antiseptic. If you want a mouth wash look for one with essential oils, xylitol and hydroxyapatite as these are more targeted to remineralisation of teeth. Or use coconut oil pulling or swish your mouth with water and bicarb to increase alakininty. Yes wait 30 min before brushing after eating, or after drinking anything sweet and/or acidic. Also good if you can have a xyltiol mint to help increase saliva flow and reduce bacterial activity.

@HRBuddy376 The problem with using antibacterial products in the mouth is that they kill good and bad bacteria. Usually this allows the bad bacteria to take over.

Here's a ChatGPT summary: - Re-mineralization is a natural defense against tooth decay, replenishing lost minerals due to wear, sugar, and bacteria. - Good oral hygiene, including brushing, flossing, and tongue cleaning, is essential for re-mineralization. - Fluoride toothpaste is effective but not holistic; alternatives like natural toothpaste with hydroxyapatite are recommended. - Daily flossing removes plaque and food particles, creating an environment conducive to re-mineralization. - Dietary changes, such as consuming calcium-rich foods like leafy greens and fish, support strong teeth. - Pairing calcium with vitamins D3 and K2 enhances absorption and distribution to teeth and bones. - Vitamin D3 supplementation is advised, with a recommended dosage of around 10,000 IU daily. - Phosphorus, found in lean proteins, nuts, seeds, and whole grains, works with calcium for strong enamel. - Drinking water, especially alkaline, is crucial for saliva production, which helps neutralize mouth acidity. - Limiting sugar and acidic foods/drinks prevents bacteria from producing cavity-causing acid. - Avoid frequent snacking to allow teeth time to re-mineralize and re-harden. - Xylitol gum or mints reduce harmful bacteria and stimulate saliva production. - Managing stress is important as it affects saliva production and acidity, impacting oral health. - Regular dental check-ups and professional cleanings help monitor oral health and prevent decay. - A healthy microbiome in the mouth and gut supports oral health; probiotics and fermented foods are beneficial. - Re-mineralization can reverse early decay if enamel is intact, but not if there's a visible hole or crack. - Main message: A holistic approach to oral care, including good hygiene, dietary changes, and stress management, can promote re-mineralization and prevent cavities, provided the enamel remains intact.
