In sarawak this is super popular car. U can see it almost everywhere even at kampung. Reason is, this car is comfort & its 4x4 ability. Due to our road condition here in sarawak we do need this kind of car and i personally own but Lexus version 2017. Really good car & comfortable. For sure sarawak government also own alot of this land cruiser for official & minister car... Haha.

this is the old version of landcruiser 200...the latest version is 2017 with the led headlamp...this SUV mostly conquered the roads in sabah & sarawak...thanks for the road condition in sabah & sarawak here which needed us to drive high ground clearance car..so, the luxury vellfire and alphard less driven at here...this SUV maybe the best option for family car and long journey drive cause it feel very tough solid SUV......i guess the Lexus 570 2017 is more luxurious than the Toyota LandCruiser but the price is damn huge different....I'm always watched your car reviews....anyway, nice review Bobby..Keep it up.

Watching this in 2021, most of this cars of ZX 2020 model is selling RM545 k upwards. I think for RM400+k is bearable even with Toyota badge vs say a X5 45e 2021 model. (for price comparison) I would choose the ZX. I believe the model in video is a ZX with electric back seat and last row. Wonderful car and wonderful size. The new Land Cruiser 300 2022 model will take 3-4 yrs to deliver due to the demand

Here in Sarawak, it's called the Super King. The Ninja King was to describe the landcruiser model before this one. The one special function that I love to use is the 'crawl' capability that enables the car to apply the gas and brakes all on its own. Superb review as usual Bobby!

this not ninja king already..sabahan call it super king and the latest landcruiser 200 2017 is using LED headlamps...why sabahan loves it because sabah roads too many patholes..some will buy the diesel V8 and some buy the petrol V8..roadtax cheaper than KL...feel luxury than you drive BM or merc.. and the logo..problemless toyota

Do a search for the LC200 going offroad in Australia. These things are very common outside the big cities. Here we only get the 4.5litre twin turbo V8 diesel. The top spec (looks like the one you drove) is called the Sahara and costs about aud$130k, or rg400k. I've just ordered a GXL which is a lower spec model but drives the same as the Sahara. The 200 series is about to be replaced by the 300 which won't have the V8 diesel.

Hi Bobby, Good to see you reviewing this mighty spectacular vehicle. Wow, I'm quiet surprised and was not expecting this from you, interms of your expression and the way you sound towards this vehicle, it clearly signifies this Land cruiser's capability. Since you review and test drive a lot of high end luxury vehicles from Germany, Italy and England. And you yourself are a German luxury brand owner. Your expression towards this beast says it all. That the Land cruiser is definitely in a different league of its own and that there is so far no competitors towards it directly. Though I personally feel the only vehicle's that might come a bit closer to its competition is the Mercedes GLS, G63 AMG, Range Rover, Infinity Qx80 and its own brothers Lexus LX 570 and Toyota Sequoia. hmm..and may be the Audi Q7 & Volvo XC90 (Though the Q7 & XC90 are more feature oriented vehicles) and However in Malaysia the GLS, G63, Range Rover, Q7 and XC90 are only available. So considering the availability, practicality and value for money I feel the Land Cruiser is the best. The difference between LX 570 and Land cruiser is that, the land cruiser is more off-road worthy in terms of approach and departure angle else wise they are mechanically the same vehicle and the LX is more feature packed along with more high end luxury. And by the way Bobby (Sorry, my apologies in correcting you, coz I'm not as experienced as you in terms of my knowledge towards automobile journalism), the only small mistake is that this Land cruiser is of 2013-2015 model year most likely 2015, because from 2016 onwards the hood has a more intuitive design language LED Cornering and Projector head lamps and the tailgate do automatically open and close and so do the rear seats. Anyways Bobby, as always great review, God bless.

I will obly put the actual year of the car if i am doing a used car review. This is because it doesnt make sense to review the current Mazda CX5 and call it a 2012 review because the review wasnt made in 2012. As for this Land Cruiser, if it's the facelifted 2017 version, i will call it 2017 Facelift .... if i review the 2017 version in 2023 as a used car review, i'll call it 2017 ....haha

belived it or not, but Toyota Land Cruiser (even though a very tough and rugged offroad suv) but has a more comfortable ride quality than the already very comfortable ride Toyota Alphard... both are soft but while Alphard can get little bouncy (unsettled) on the uneven road, the Land Cruiser remains settled across any speed bump,pothholes like they are no exist on the road

Well they are cars imported from (mostly Japan) where they are reconditioned in Japan and then exported to other markets. Technically they are used cars, but in Malaysia because we look at whether that particular car is registered or not, thus within our JPJ system or Banking system, Recond cars enjoy the same interest rates as new cars. Our country's importing AP quota is split by 60/40. 60% goes to all the parallel importers who import recond cars into the country while the remaining 40% of the AP goes to all the car makers for their CBU imports. This is to encourage the OEM car makers to setup assembly plant in Malaysia. Japan has a few very big companies doing car exports, like Rainbow and Tiger Shoji etc. They started from collecting quality, slightly used cars to be exported. But recently because of huge market demands, it's silly to wait for available used cars, what they do now is they work closely with Malaysian partners (like Rupee here) to determind what NEW cars should they buy in Japan and then wait for 1 year to qualify for import into Malaysia and then ship them in, pay taxes, and then selling them as 1 year old 0 mileage brand new cars. For example they know there will be a huge demand for Vellfire and Alphards, they buy like 20-50 units from Toyopet Japan and then let it sit in a warehouse for a year then only sell over to Malaysia.

As a Sarawakian (p/s: Land Cruiser is a common sight in Sarawak, 1/15 vehicles on roads is a Land Cruiser), I would hardly recommend any person to get this car, due to its lack of specifications. Yes, it is solid, comfortable and reliable. However, you are paying a whopping of RM450k for a car without even the basic feature of land keeping assist. There is also no pre-collision safety system, land departure alert, etc, which the new Honda CR-V 1.5 is equipped with. Did I also mention that the headlights are the traditional HID bulb? And Land Cruiser still uses the conventional method of hand pulling parking brake, where electronic brake is largely used currently. If you don't mind the lacking of specs, it will be a good choice, as you are paying for its reliability. However, if you are a car enthusiast who are looking for tons of features to play with in your car and better interior quality, look further away. Volvo XC90 definitely is a better choice.

It's not called whatever you called it "ninjaking". They are belong to the Toyota Landcruiser family and are known as the 200 Series V8 twin-turbo model which pushes 4.5L of power in the diesel motor and 4.6L in the petrol motor range. It is a good vehicle and well used in the agriculture sector here in Australia. However, when you said that it's one of the toughest model. I would comment on that and disagree with what you were saying based on my knowledge. The toughest would be the 70 Series which uses the same Diesel motor. Hope you learned something mate! :)

@@fadhliberohan6726 i used to drive a cygnus, and i can say the old cygnus feels softer(suspension wise) than this new generation land cruiser that Bobby drove..not to say the new one is harsh it just feels slightly firmer..i guess for better on road handling..engine wise its more or less between the models, they r very smooth..the difference is in the gearbox..the latest models have more ratio hehe..fuel consumption is the main concern for the cygus..haha..if you have no qualms about fc then go ahead..it can drink rm50 worth of petrol in a very short time lol..the car is quite thirsty as the car is heavy and it runs on a petrol v8..if you intend to get a family hauler then mpv's are better suited for highway cruising..better aerodynamics, suspension set ups n better fc...or german suvs because their chassis n suspensions r better tuned for on road handling..or if you have the budget n still wants the land cruiser then you should get the ones Bobbys driving here..the latest generations have better road handling capability.
