Spent a shit ton of skill books on him specific to Sub Cities..."literally never get a general like this guy". Shit...slowly resigning all of my 5 sub city mayor that are all sub city specific skills. haha

apologies for being the bearer of bad news! It would be great if there was more worth in these generals, such as having millions of gold produced in sub cities however currently it's terrible production unfortunately. Any general is fine to get some benefits but for sure try for one with debuff skills!

@@EvonyGuides Thank you for the videos. The good news is that of the options you talked about, I had Nero. Also had Wallace and Himiko which at least have reduce skills. And had plenty of gold and gems to get a couple of Nevskys to pop up. So my mayors now are Nero, William Wallace, Himiko, and 2X Nevsky. At least some good reduces in there to get started until an empress pops up or I win one. Your videos are very helpful. Thank you.

@@Mudcat3434 thank you for the support on the videos, that's great to hear that you could quickly get to replacing those generals! If you haven't seen it in a video do keep in mind that if you have 500% debuff and an enemy has 50% buff, you can only debuff them to 25% if that makes sense. The game only allows you to debuff someone to half of their total stats for any given troop type, so it may not always show your full debuff in a report

I really appreciate your videos. They are pretty much helpful to understand game mechanics. I have a question about debuff generals in sub cities. Which debuff you think the most beneficial? Lets say I can have 40 % hp or attack or def debuff. Which one should I choose ?

Debuff on HP or Attack tends to be a little more helpful, however there are generals such as Cixi that debuff defense, higher than nero Debuffs HP for instance. Debuffing defense is especially good against ground opponents. Also note that you can't debufs someone to 0, only to half of their total. This means having 500 debuff all on attack is not very worthwhile

well sub generals dont benefit so much from books, you can add any subordinate city specific book such as gold production, troop training etc but none really amount to much.

you can use them if you have more sub cities that debuff generals currently. Gus can be replaced. You could also replace the andrews with arminius if you prefer those debuffs

Can I get the convoluted explanation of buffs on sub gens? Also do multiples of the same gen stack at face value?

When you apply a general to be the mayor of a Subordinate city that have increase stats such as 35% Ranged troop attack when general is leading the army.. this stat will ONLY apply to the troops within that Subordinate city. This also applies to stats in gear, specialities, cultivation, levels etc. However if the general, gear etc has REDUCE terminology or a minus symbol it means this stat is a debuff to the enemies troops. Therefore wherever you can pick up debuffs it will always apply to the entire enemy army. All you need to be careful of is that the general does not have terminology like "while attacking" in their skill book. I use multiple neros and cixi for instance and they stack just fine for me. Those are the recommended generald to get in the tavern for this use although of course there is more!

I get what you are saying and I eventually intend to add better generals to the sub cities but I can get enough gold to buy generals! What are you doing to earn gold ? Or not spend it? Research is using most of mine at present.

I haven't leveled up generals or research for a little while so i accumulated some gold. You can get it from events, gold goblins, daily activities from the tavern etc but the best way is the viking event and battlefield events for me

Thank you! I’m always attacking goblins and I join or rally as many Vikings as possible during the event. I have yet to manage the battlefield events. I cannot seem to master ghosting no matter how many try’s or videos I watch! (So you see, I have more issues than gold! Lol) I definitely use the tavern and other events/tasks to get gold. I don’t use gold for generals so I’m not starting them or refining gear. It must be all the research that’s draining me. I hope it will pay off in the long run! Hey, just subbed, can you answer a question for me please?? *Where are all the good quality sub cities at in the game??* The only ones i ever see available are either white (common), or green (uncommon), and there seems to be no way, short of winning the raffle, to get a blue or better sub city?? *Thanks in advance!!*

These subs are randomly placed around the map, if you don't take them in the beginning of the server it is very unlikely you will have a chance to steal them. The only other way is to win them with the event you mention.

I just steal them when I get the chance. First I burn the main city to kill their troops. It depends on your server rules too, if you’re a NAP server, you could get KOS.

@@PastaSausta Technically, we are supposed to be a a *NAP* server, but many of the top 5 alliances don't recognize non aggression pacts, making it just stupid, and restricting for the alliances, like mine, who do obey the laws!!

he is pretty good for non-spenders for use in PvP battles, attacking and defending! There are better once you can get them however he is a fine general. However he is not the best for subordinate cities.

You will want to leverage their debuff skills and add debuff gear to them once your primary generals are sorted for gear first

They might in certain cases I cannot recall, although generally you cant use sub cities when in PvE activities and therefore do not get anything from their buffs

@@EvonyGuides it will help to cultivate sub generals, war tactics needs 900 politics and leadership. it increase death to survival rate for your troops in the sub. if your troops in the sub are killed the general doesnt fight so you dont get the debuffs from the general and his armor

the army is usually useless and the gear is much the same, this is different if the gear has debuffs on it, which will effect the entire enemy army of course, which is how some big players can debuff like 600% attack

If I can add my 2 cents here... Ares axe is a good debuff weapon for sub-city mayors. It reduces Ranged troop HP by 18 HP.
