Martinus or Marinus was caesar of the Byzantine Empire from c. 638-September/October 641. Martinus was the son of Emperor Heraclius and Empress Martina. Under Heraclius, Martinus was elevated to caesar in c. 638. Heraclius left the Byzantine Empire to two of Martinus' brothers, Constantine III and Heraklonas; Constantine soon died of tuberculosis, though some of his partisans alleged that he was poisoned by Martina. One such partisan, Valentinus, led troops to Chalcedon to force Martina to make Constans II, the son of Constantine, co-emperor. Valentinus seized Constantinople regardless in September/October 641, and deposed Martina, Heraklonas, and Martinus, and cut off Martinus' nose and emasculated him, before exiling him to Rhodes.

Hi Genghis! Thank you for the tips. I'm currently using Roland as my main Cav general, for both monsters and PvP. I booked him with Mounted HP, Defense, and March size. I use Li Jing as Assistant for monsters, which gives me 35% Attack instead of the 25% i'd get from a Lv4 book. And then i have Mounted Attack, Defense, HP on monsters. Doing pretty well and soon i'll be able to kill B13 without any wounded. But i might switch defense with Luck skill. But for PvP, i got Li Naomasa recently from Trial of Knights, he looked really good to me. So if i wanna make him my PvP assistant general, he gives 25% mounted attack but can't take a book, so main skill is like the replacement for the book. And then a whopping 40% mounted HP which i really lked. I was wondering what books i should go with, i have 3 empty slots. I was thinking of mounted speed, but what else is beneficial for PvP? something like, ground speed? since whilst i'm attacking a castle that has a lot of ground but also a good amount of archers, my horses can get wiped out easily. So is it good to include some ground in my march to counter them? And how does siege range bonus sound like? is it also helpful for horse PvP march? or march speed? please give me your opinion. Naomosa is very good. Range bonus is for siege troops not mounted

@Gaming Addicts With Genghis Yes, sometimes i see people who include siege in different types of marches. Should i do that and add a siege range bonus book on the assistant? OR...include ground and add a ground speed book? Or just go pure horses? I'm just confused on what books i would need on my assistant. Again, i already have defense HP and march size on my main general. And the assistant main skill is a replacement for the Attack book.

Not related to video but to older video, TREASURE BOXES UP TO 6 now for each relic exploration. It was in my acquired section before recall (usually goes to three when i recall) but i recalled it and mail said six and so did my items section. I complained in a ticket as soon as you made a video, maybe thats why haha

Hi, I’m using Maximilian for Pvp, not full specks yet, but I’m getting great results on solo attacks even against ranged targets, with debuffing help for ranged on subs and equipments.

Hannibal, Martinus and Roland are the mounted equivalents of Simeon, Alfred and Elektra. Gaius seems very promising but still long way for me to judge, I feel he may be not as good as I don't like he has range attack in his main skill. For mounted generals, I tested various skill books what gave me best results were attack, HP and march size. Defence skill book did worse for me. In the long run, I feel Barbarossa may do great with his additional march size. I have him level 36, he can have an extra 100k t14 than any other mounted generals. I am thinking at K40, he may fit extra 200K t15 under standard march and more with march size, this will be very significant difference.

I have all of them but I went with Gaius Octavius. I love him. Matter of fact I have 2 of him, made 1 for pvp other for monster hunting. I am using both for monster mainly because I am not doing mounted pvp yet. You can get Hannibal and Roland in relic... good video. Thank you

I've been using Ulysses Grant as my main mounted general. I haven't used him much in pvp as I mostly use Alfred.

Genghis, what's your thought on Maximilian now ascension is out? By number, it seems like he's lagging behind Roland, although her defense attribute is high. I'm looking at Maxi having 106%/45%/55% Mounted ATK/HP/DEF with 14% March Size, 20%/20%/10% Ground ATK/HP/DEF, -10% ATK , -20% RANGED ATK - 30% RANGED DEF ... In comparison to Roland that has 115%/65%/75% Mounted ATK/HP/DEF, with 16% March Size, -20% RANGED ATK, although his limitation is that most if not all his ATK/HP/DEF stats is tied to "effective only when attacking" (I assume rally counts?) I'm sure when it comes to raw ATK/HP/DEF, Martinus or Hannibal would trump both of them no days, but I'm just wondering how much value does that additional -10% ATK to all troops, -30% Ranged DEF worth over Roland or other options. I'm not sure how much weighting a -30% Ranged ATK/DEF debuff would play.

I'm curious about you moving from Martinus to Hannibal. After finishing some other generals I'm currently picking my mounted pvp... I crunched the numbers that Martinus was the best because in Battlefield you would be doing about 50% attacking and 50% reinforcing against ground marches. So I assumed the reinforcement utility is a huge part of which general to pick. When considering this rather than straight attacking Martinus seems to come out on top. So why move from Martinus to Hannibal? EDIT* I suppose it has to be that you value a slight edge attacking over reinforcing, still interested in your thought process though.

Not sure why you would switch from Hannibal. Fully specialized with books both Martinus and Hannibal have the same attack (126%), but Martinus requires a dragon and Hannibal does not. Hannibal also has a lot more mounted HP which is important in PVP. Gaius Octavius has 5% less attack but more mounted HP and has march size in his specialty.
