Worth also pointing out the 2 set boss debuff for generals gear of -5% attack, pair the 2 set debuff with the 4 set debuff (dragon gear brings of -10% attack and Def) for -15% attack, -10% Def. Gear Sanada with the above and you have -15% attack and Def. Sanada we found has more impact than Cortez. Our testing seemed to indicate that you can stack a sanada with a Cortez in the rally but multiples of each general don't seem to reduce wounded any more than one of each being sent along, not sure if we got to an answer on if the gear set debuffs stack or not.

Octavius is a great general for bosses. Can take all the monster books. Him and Aethelflaed are my extra boss hunters. Hannibal is my main cause he is the most built cause of PVP

I seen no difference in using Caesar over using Hannibal before I used runestones on either. Actually slightly less wounded using Hannibal

all these generals are less effective on strong bosses.. including popular generals such as aethelflaed and Caesar.. You need heavy hitter generals which can take 2 attack skill books and have good HP buffs.. For killing strong bosses, there are 3 choices in my opinion: Hannibal, Roland and Octavius.. If you are going to use them only on bosses, then I believe you won't unlock speciality buffs.. Given that (without unlocking speciality), Octavius provides highest attack buffs.. That's my recommendation.. Rock him with 2 attack books and march size book.. happy hunting!

Ath and Caesar can take 2 attack books as they already have one and can add the regular attack..regular generals are better cause noones doing the specs on these monster focused generals

I do t know where my other comment went, I apologize if I am duplicating it - if a player was inclined to go for the specialities and the new civ gear, would aethelflaed be a top Choice? It just seems that players will have enough gear and have all or most of the other generals and may want a full time specialized general

If the general already has a preset skill that is higher than what the skill book would add, you cannot add the same skill

@@michaeljp9605 if the general has a mounted attack of 25% or more, AND that is the only skill(or so I've noticed) the game will not allowed you to add a mounted attack skill book. 25% is the highest level most(non monster) skill books go to. You would only be able to add monster focused books(which go up to 45%).

What about John Buford he has a mounted troops 30% attack and 15% range / siege attack against monsters.

Wait do skill books with general special skills stack? I heard from other players on my server that books dont stack. It only replaces that general's skill. So giaus mounted attack percentage of 40% will not stack with the 25% attack of a lvl 4 mounted attack skill book. It will simply render that added book useless.

@@gamingaddictswithgenghis Sorry for the typos in my first post. Yeah i know. But for example, theodora has 10% luck boost. If you add a lvl 4 luck book(18%)to her(which you can since her skill is a lower % and isnt her sole buff), apparently, it wont stack to a total of 28%. It will simply override her buff, and she will only have 18% luck. Get it? According to some senior players on my server at least... im asking you, if you're sure the books stack for that reason.

Well, i fuked up then...i got gaius Octavius from random epic historic general token....and i added mounted PvP book and monster attack book

That's good. His inbuilt attack is amazing plus you add normal attack and monster attack to make his attack percentage crazy.
