From what I can tell about the Mounted Speed book, it's just a De-Buff on the enemy Ranged against your Mounted, either just in the first Defensive attack, or throughout the turns. I've also noticed that in an initial attack, Your Ranged will not be subject to a Defense attack in the first round, but will be in subsequent rounds.

he's premium, difficult to ascend. But works nicely if you're a heavy coiner.

Hi Miser! Thank you for the tips. I'm currently using Roland as my main Cav general, for both monsters and PvP. I booked him with Mounted HP, Defense, and March size. I use Li Jing as Assistant for monsters, which gives me 35% Attack instead of the 25% i'd get from a Lv4 book. And then i have Mounted Attack, Defense, HP on monsters. Doing pretty well and soon i'll be able to kill B13 without any wounded. But i might switch defense with Luck skill. But for PvP, i got Li Naomasa recently from Trial of Knights, he looked really good to me. So if i wanna make him my PvP assistant general, he gives 25% mounted attack but can't take a book, so main skill is like the replacement for the book. And then a whopping 40% mounted HP which i really lked. I was wondering what books i should go with, i have 3 empty slots. I was thinking of mounted speed, but what else is beneficial for PvP? something like, ground speed? since whilst i'm attacking a castle that has a lot of ground but also a good amount of archers, my horses can get wiped out easily. So is it good to include some ground in my march to counter them? And how does siege range bonus sound like? is it also helpful for horse PvP march? or march speed? please give me your opinion. What do you think about Maximilian with Custer and the 2nd spec on Custer for 20%. Maximilian I can get to the 3rd red star (maybe by next year 😀) max specs and all civ equipment. Am I going to need to start over and make a top 3 for success in PvP for the trouble and cost or with this at the moment 🤔? Thanks.

I've been ascending my Roland, I have a Martinus and Lysander in the wings but Roland gets the job done well.

Hah, well, I am using Martinus, Elise, Alfred, and went Surena for main Siege (Using Phillip for small Siege). Leo the III and now with assisted, adding Leonidas for wall Generals.

Okay granted I used a 200% March size up, 50% buffs, and the castle given out from civilization event for boosts against monsters. But a K36 here using Aethelflaed with Genghis Khan with 2.6 million+ troops I just killed a B17 boss monster with only 17K wounded this new update is very interesting.

My top 5 for a long run & trying to catch up to the new ones is .5.hanibal .4 roland.3martinus.2.sun of the morning star & 1-!!!Bertrand du guescli!!!!!!!!! has some ground to repel archers & overal a troop death survival rate that nobody else has

Is Martinus still top if you're f2p and won't be able to fully specialize him?

I'm no expert but yes F2P here and I have him almost at 2 red stars, you can find him in the tavern and can find fragments in game from events so he definitely is still on of the top gens. His attack buffs fully awakened make him #1 overall for attacking and you can add Roland as his assistant general without losing out on Roland's skill

No, you shouldn't put that in your sub city mayors

all you need mayors for is debuffs for PvP. And for skills just go with training speed, capacity, and rebirth.

And now, there is a lot of bot farms in a lot of servers. And Evony doesn't do nothing to ban that cheating
