It is nice for sure! I love the Model X, but the stories I hear about maintenance costs after warranty are not good.

It took 17 years for Tesla to become profitable. Lucid is backed by the Saudi PIF. The Gravity is Lucid's killer product. Lucid is already working on a more affordable Tesla Model Y competitor. Cory Steuben (formerly at Munroe & Associates) is working on the midsize Model Y/3 competitor for Lucid. He should be able to help them produce a cost affective vehicle with good margins.

Thanks for watching and for your comments. Yes I am aware of the SPIF backing hence my caution on the company burning money at a rate of 5 quarters until empty is probably not too meaningful. I do agree the Gravity is a whole other level and I very much look forward to driving it, to better form my opinions. This early pre-production "mule" was very impressive and should do well for Lucid if they can produce enough. I hope they also come out with a more "affordable" offering, however IMO they really need to tighten up economies of scale and get production numbers up. Even a well financed money pipeline that they have, will only allow for so much time for the company to become profitable. It is not good business to operate a company at a loss for ever. I believe their margins are ok, if they get their production numbers up to a more mass scale.

Compared to the Model X, R1S, EQS SUV and now, the EV9; this gravity hits the sweet spot for a luxury family EV SUV. I hope the range is competitive and I hope Lucid comes out with a non glass roof. My family and I don't want to look at the sky all the time, especially in rain grey skies.

Such a well designed car. If the company only make it until it's profitable and don't go bust. I thought it would never be possible in an EV to pack the 2nd and 3rd row seats as in Chrysler Pacifica, but Lucid almost did it - not quite the same as in Pacifica, but good enough.

Nice looking car but means nothing if you don’t give us the price . The lucid air looked nice until you saw the price tag Over 200,000 for a sedan is insane I would imagine this will cost even more

Gravity is going to cost ~$3k more than the Air which starts at $102k Canadian not $200k. In other words Tesla Model S and Model X prices. Very sane for bleeding edge premium midsize electric vehicles.

@kevbrown1867 Thanks for watching. I did state that the MSRP is estimated to start at $80,000 USD (see near end when I list the Specs). So the Dream Editions will be over $100K USD to start I would guess. Converting that to CDN Dollars is another thing.

@CMCNestT Thanks for watching and for your comments/response. Although no Canadian pricing has been announced yet, one can guess based on USD MSRPs. I would agree that the Gravity will be in Model X territory with regards to pricing, would make sense. Less than EQS SUV and maybe less or a bit more than Model X. Will have to see. Yes, for premium mid-size to full-size SUV all-electrics, this is the price range we are seeing. For sure, not for the average Joe (which is me), but should do well as that is a nice market for them.
