Ewe Lambs Grazing On Direct Drilled Forage Rape

Direct drilled back in July this crop of stubble turnips, forage rape a radish has done extremely well and the ewe lambs are loving it.

Drilled in July. As for inputs my memory does not go back that far but it probably had some DAP. And that would have been all.

How much current on fence to make them respect the 3 strand?

This is not my farm or my sheep but the farmer said he thinks it depends on the energizer and the length of the fence. More than that I cannot say.

Just make it nice and hot when you train them to it. After that they wont go near it even if its off.

What month was it grazed? / days from planting to grazing ? Interested kiwi looking at options to feed you from stock

Anywhere between 3000-5000 vlts tends to keep them well under control. Could get away with less once they’re aware the fence is carrying current.
