I am a sikh ,and I can tell by just looking at this yogi bhajan that he was a fraud and a clown ,he knew nothing about sikhism and just mixed this concept of Hinduism and just wore the dress that a sikh would wear and fooled millions in US because people didn't know what sikhism is over there so it was easy to fall prey for these people ,plus sikhi teaches women are warriors and equal to men so he taught actually everything opposite what a clown plus there is nothing about kundalini yoga in sikhism ,yoga is in hinduism ,sikhism is only sharing fortune with the poor ,working hard and protect the weaker from abusers

Hi! I'm a second gen. I went to Miri Piri late because my mom didn't want any of us to go after my sister went to Musoori for one year. She was 9 at the time and she suffered from chronic lice and diarrhea, mumps, hepA and worms. She took cold showers with a bucket and the deedees scrubbeed her so hard it hurt. She said people shit in the bucket they bathed in. She never slept either because the the sick lady had a disabled adult son who sounds schizophrenic. He would sit in her bed at night talking to himself. She was afraid to use the bathroom at night. Thrn she had to write fake letters home. One says "P.S. tell the Siri Singh Sahib I love it here in India". Coming home from India can take days. Since she was qbused and neglected nobody noticed on the way home she shit her pants and had it all over her. Now I know why I couldn't go till I was 15. I drank the koolaid and was begging to go to India. I had a much better experience at MPA, however, I suffered major childhood neglect, abuse and trauma and I needed help. I really appreciate this video and I agree with you that the women who have suffered the abuse feom YB need financial compensation. Thank you so much because the cult is brainwashed to think that the victim s sre just after money. NO, They are owed compensation!!! Premka included.

She went to GNFC around rhe year 1986. My parents were younger than Pamela Dyson, but they remember how bad Yogi Bhajan treated her. My parents hadn't talked to eacher in many years and i asked them both about her after the book. They both said that yogi bhajan was horrible to her.

I have since watched clips of him, (there seems to be much available,) where he's recorded speaking publicly, or to gis close knit "disciples," & I couldn't believe his excessive dishonesty to people. Clear contradictions.. I cant label him; bit from what I've seen thus far, I was surprised many people bought into his bragging & bullshit! Kundalini is a beautiful, freeing, elevating practice & idealism... Had never heard anything before Premka's autobiography; which did seem to shine the light on his darker nature,; with others feeling clear to illuminate with their own lights.. Kundalini practice is a gift. How did people closest to him continue to believe the unbelievable, & maybe not directly, but still chose to help him further hiz oppressive, abusive, completely contradictory image. That's why I first feeling was the intensity of a love/.lover or even deep connected friendship, yet his innermost circle, knew the chaos he was sadly afflicting on each other; moving on, still worshiped thru the unimaginable sadness if those boarded st the school.. I cannot empathize here with the multiple abusis, & incredible fear , uncertainty & confusion that yogi Bhajan& from what I've learned mostly with the complacency, & even cruel assistance of these inner women.. Just even sadder that it had to perpetuate for.this long; with no one, (that i know from my still premature research, strongly stepped in, joined together, spoke out against him, or privately confronted him!

well, I just found out the exact same scandal in the buddhism community where for political reason the dalai lama did not intervene at all. It s really frustrating at first because the practises are really good and if practiced properly , they have a good impact on personal development. The sentence about examining a teacher 12 years before following him or her is really by the Dalai Lama. It is quite likely he was quoting a classic ancient Buddhist teacher. It says "one is not a fool if one examines a teacher during 12 years before committing to be his or her disciple".

Let us learn from this big mistakes we made, to follow blindly a "master" of (what) great cult, who's interest was only to collect, and collect, and collect even more. I hope there are enough teachers knowledgeable in the practice of kundalini yoga to distill what is valuable from all the corruption. I have found my mostly solo KY practice to be a lifeline in stressful times in life and have only known excellent teachers. I applaud Ms. Dyson for looking at why she fell into the traps she did. Learning from your mistakes, taking responsibility, is the attitude of a grown up. Those who criticize her for her mistakes do not exhibit grown up attitudes. I also find those self proclaimed victims who cannot seem to learn by Ms. Dyson's example rather annoying. Is this not about a necessary purging? Surely everyone exposed to this information can find something personally helpful. Hopefully the KY community will sort itself out over time with the help of some good teachers & some good lawyers.

Hi Steve, I am inspired to read your books. I posted here already and then I was inspired to talk about the statue of limitation. Yogi bhajan had me see a psychologist named Shanti Shanti who told me I wasn't raped by my brother when I was 12 and he was 24. Since, I was groomed I believed her and lived with so much shame. It wasn't until I saw the Michael Jackson documentary that I learned what grooming is. That was 25 years ago!!!! I was taught that kirtan kriya and sat kriya anf yogi tea will cure my problems. We need to fight to remove this! My brother is a dr of occupational therapy and I feel horrrible thinking that I didn't stop a predator. I feel angry that I cant do anything now. Of course, my dad believes YB too and I've been slut shamed by my family. Ugh!!!

Steve, Thank you for putting eye opening information out there. Being drawn to self help I discovered some different"gurus" . There's one in particular that seems dangerous, Bentinho Massaro, he had a meditation titled "die before you die" he frequently normalizes death. I felt -something in my gut about that(revolt, fear, not sure) after looking deeper at former followers it seems this guy has the potential for mass suicide. At his retreats he encourages long "dry" fasts of grape juice only. A former follower of his, a man named Brent Wilkins committed suicide at one of his retreats called "The Sedona experiment 2" in A.Z.
