If people don’t take the time to simply clean their cars especially before they sell it, you really think that person actually took the time to maintain their car? If it’s a dirty mess coming in with then it’s basically a spit shined turd they are selling you. To push the metaphor along, the cart attendant is not going to have better information than large investment firms when it comes to the financial standing/going concerns of a publicly traded company. *said investment firms are going to have better information than almost anyone (employee or not) other than upper management

I think someone at his level could give valuable insights on back-end ops at a particular facility, but would have no idea why Carvana can’t seem to get titles issued for example. He is not eating lunch with Ernie Garcia. I hope you asked him for names of other former employees he knew who were at different levels of the organization or had different roles in the company. I like asking entry level people behind-the-scenes questions. Their answers can be pretty interesting.

Carvana is the Worst company i have ever worked for in my entire life. Carvana is ran by crooks, liars, bad trainers and managers treat their employees like shit and half the TLS should be working at McDonalds. Blasting music and using clappers is Very unprofessional!! when escalated customers are on the line... Carvana sells horrible, overpriced vehicles to customers. The inspection center Employees smoke weed and joyride cars. A Horrendous 150-point inspection... Worst company in America... Turnover rate is a joke and the number of managers that quit leaving in tears or forced to put 2 weeks' notice in that's not right. People walking around with laptops barking orders thinking they are better and belittling us employees and customers and meanwhile have no idea what they are talking about. My ABYSMAL Subpar manager dares to rate me low while she sits right next to me. I know i do an excellent job helping customers while Carvana basically wants me to lie to customers and "lead with empathy" for a Critical situation. I bleed blue on all my calls however that is not something Carvana truly cares about. It’s a numbers game for u guys. You rate us on an invisible scorecard and “leaderboard” what leaderboard. Never seen it in my life. For all I know it’s made up numbers to get us all fired. Ask yourself when was the last time u saw where “you ranked”. Never have and never will. While I'm Consistent and have several customers ask for me directly you guys give us fake warnings and reviews to legally terminate us as you, please BUT WE ALL KNOW THIS COMPANY IS FUCKING TANKING!!!!!! You're going down like the titanic and you guys are trying everything not to get sued. It's all a matter of time before Carvana goes down after all the "Bait and switch" you guys do the Govt will catch up like back in the 90s... Garcias will be back in jail or legal troubles. I wasted my time with this company but learned valuable lessons. Glad i am moving on from this Depressing HELL HOLE and will be away from this mess. The reality is everyone is a Nixon here. When do you guys truly care about us: only before and after glint Surveys!! Meanwhile the rest of the months you guys treat us like last nights garbage.

I work repossessions for Carvana and I can tell you they are a hot mess. Title issues galore is probably their number one issue- but they also give a TON of cars away for free via fraud. I mean, delivering a car to a guy with no ID at a gas station at 3 in the morning and then acting all surprised when the downpayment bounces and turns out to be identity theft. Honestly don’t know how they stayed in business this long.

I got a Jeep Wrangler from Carvana last night. It’s my dream car and I was beyond excited. My daughter wanted to see the car come down the vending machine so we picked it up at the local hub. The car looked amazing and the inside looked like nobody had ever been inside. The next day, I took the Jeep to be inspected and it was an absolute nightmare. The radiator was cracked, the front axle seal was leaking, the brakes were bad, the tires had signs of dry rot and low tread, the battery should have 600 amps and it was barely pulled 400. The undercarriage had copious amounts of rust and the alignment was off by a mile. I had their warranty group start a claim, but the more I thought about it, the worse the feeling in the pit of my stomach became. I finally ended up taking the Wrangler back in less than 24 hours and got my trade in back. Avoid this company at all cost! They don’t inspect vehicles as advertised and didn’t try to salvage the sale. They just had me sign a form and gave me the cashiers check back and my keys and sent me on my way. I guarantee you they’ll be bankrupt in less than a year.

This really doesn't sound like anything worse than other car dealerships or body shop. Maybe there would be more tea if the interview was with a manager, rather than a detailer. A family member has worked several places, including Carmax and Carvana and has enjoyed working at Carvana the most.

Ordered a 2016 Cadillac XTS. The suspension was almost non-existant. It felt like I was driving a tractor. Refused it/ordered another one. The entire passenger side rocker panel was destroyed...thousands of dollars of damage. Refused that one as well. The delivery guy said, "All I do is deliver them." Never again. We bought one privately, 17K original miles for $7K less than Carvana's price.

As a former Verifications Advocate/ Underwriter, it's interesting to hear how messy things were at the hubs. However, the customer-facing side of things was a whole other mess. After the huge layoffs in March, the whole process was changed to be more like a call center and it was a nightmare

I would never put stock in a disgruntled employee. Not much worth in an interview like this because it is one-sided. The customer can decline a car any time the first seven days. Carvana is very concerned about customer satisfaction. I don't see the point of your interview and what you are after.

I think it’s just another piece of the puzzle. They have inexperienced people paying crazy prices for used inventory without hardly a glance at the actual condition. They don’t actually inspect the cars, and half of the issues get repaired after the sale. Sure, hours suck, and staying late sucks, but that’s not the real takeaway here.

Mr. Simpson, please read the news about carvana, this car washer did the right thing by quitting and jumping this sinking ship. Their stock dropped like a rock and so did their reputation. These guys shouldn't be doing this type of business if they cant even handle simple title transfers, which is one of the biggest and main and first things u should do when purchasing a car. Pretty important actually. Love this video, it tells me they only clean the car, no real mechanics, no OEM parts, everything cheaply done and this guy just confirmed it.

Idk I found my rare Tacoma on Carvana, priced low like they did it on accident. I got lucky been happy with a Toyota tacoma now. Been fine for me. If you know how to look for specific car models sometimes you can find them mislabeled and underpriced like a 4x4 truck marked and priced as a 2 wheel drive, but you can clearly see it’s 4. Look closely you can beat them

I frequent Carvana's Tolleson,Arizona terminal for reconditioning and remarketing, There's a multitude of reasons they're in trouble. In my opinion there are 2 major issues overlooked, transportation and their wholesale vehicles. There tripping over dollars to pick up dimes! I've noticed this since inception. They're not car guys.

That is where you start out in the dealership if you choose not to be in sales. We all have to start somewhere and chances are you didn't just walk into the CEO position. It's funny that Carvana seems to be the focus and the only car selling company I see negative articles on when used cars are at an all time high in resale value and supposedly hard to get but Carvana is the only company tanking with an overwhelming stock of vehicles. Looks to me like it's more the rest of the car selling industry wants them out of the way because the program seems to work for customers and they removed the dealership painful and scummy experience for the customer. I can tell you first hand i live my experience buying from Carvana regardless of the countless negative videos I've seen on KZbin and wouldn't hesitate to recommend or buy from them again. I don't ever want to go to another dealership ever again.
