I appreciate Jeremy and Viet showing us vulnerability, I really do empathize with the both of them as I myself have a friend with the same struggles and have been through the exact same things theirs unfortunately went through, and I couldn't be there for her because I myself am depressed as well. Thankfully she's still with us today but I really empathize with everyone and am sorry for Jeremy and Viets loss, thank you for sharing.

I tried commiting suacide in 2013 nw im qualified doctor currently working in psychiatry and hearing that thers hope 4 us all, helps cos i sometimes cnt handle my own life and the pain so many of my patients are going through. 5 minutes in and i can already relate during my senior year someone I grew up with passed away and later I found out he was killed just for being on the wrong side of the city, I found out on the day of prom and that will always hurt more than anything for sure.

The crazy thing is my childhood is literally how viets is and his sister. I’m only 20 and it still blows my mind how much stuff I’ve gone though. And how messed up my mental health is even just my mindset. I literally think just like viet it blows me to know I’m not the only one who thinks like that. It’s honestly hard trying to tell people what I’m feeling or my past cause no one knows what to say or how to respond and I get it. Like Ik my past is deep and not many people go through it but damn sometimes I just need someone to listen to me vent about stuff just to get it off my chest. Honestly listening to him talk about his past or just seeing him explain his way of thinking helps me feel not crazy in a sense. I’m just truly happy I’ve found this podcast and found viet who’s gone through stuff I have. I truly hope one day I could meet him or just be able to talk to him and truly thank him for telling his past cause it truly makes me feel not as alone in this world and honestly heard.

Psychedelics are the reason why i didn’t take my life when i was at my end. I was stripped of my ego and saw the beauty of life and interconnectivity and even though i still battle anxiety and depression, I’m doing better everyday and will never think in such a self destructive way again.

LSD and mushrooms completely changed my whole outlook on life. I became a better version of myself This experience gave me a lot of confidence about my self and my body. A bunch of bad thought / behavior patterns were broken. One of these was pretty bad OCD that made me wash my hands a lot. It gave me a lot of hope that things will be fine, this is the one thing that I heard throughout the trip: Everything is alright. The main reason for the trip was my severe depression and it definitely helped me (although it's not gone). Before all I could do was lay in bed. Now I am trying to rebuild my life one step at a time which wasn't possible before."

I’m really glad y’all make these podcasts. I was a drug addict too & it took my whole life falling apart for me to start making it better. Then while I was in sober living I overdosed & everything got worse. Just before that my 2 closest friends I met from treatment died, & I cut all my old friends off cuz I realize everyone I used to hang out with was toxic, Then my dad died a year later & made everything harder to deal with it’s been almost 3 years & im doing better & focused on bettering myself but everyday is still a huge struggle. I’m lonely but I choose to be lonely cuz the old people I was with were bringing me down more & im just focused on my mental & physical health now. But in other words I’m glad y’all talk bout this it makes me realize other people go through hard situations too not just me. Keep it up dudes I respect what y’all do 👍🏽💯
