Sergio Sergio Right?! I had to stop watching a minute in because it was so distracting. I don't think this guy has ever been on camera before. It didn't help that the comments being made by Charlie were completely nonsensical--that's Gayle's job!

This is completely wrong! I have lived in Silicon Valley my entire life and work at a big tech company there. Merit is absolutely important combined with relationships (kind of obvious). Furthermore, women in Silicon Valley are NOT AT ALL soft (Quite the opposite). He is attempting to give a very intriguing account of life in Silicon Valley to sell his book. Very petty!

@Donald Kasper I can't agree with that. I've known 2 startup CEO's that were amazing and I would consider completely altruistic in their efforts. Genuinely good people. Hooowwever. I do have to agree with what you're saying on a general basis, but more as it relates to a hive mentality and the overall backstabbing "what's in it for me" culture. I would go as far to say that the culture has impacted everyone, not just founders. People are people and they'll react certain ways as an aggregate every time. SV is a microcosm full of hubris, so what do you expect? A few shine, the rest just shovel the coal to keep the engine running.

Maybe you guys in Silicon Valley should fight for hourly wages instead of being on contract, there's no way I would work a job 14 hours+ a day just never happening. All these Tech Geniuses that are working 14 hours a day on like even 120k on contract divides down their hourly rate to about $25 an hour so if 85k or less people in the mall that have a better hourly rate than you 🤣🤣🤣🤣
