Constrictors, like Anacondas are not poisonous, although any snakes can bite and a bit from a snake that size would do damage, but the constricting is the dangerous part.

There was no possible way I wasn’t going to enjoy a movie with ex flight attendant, snake hating Bisscute is doing a reaction. She may have actually been jump scared by a credit appearing on screen at one point. When you watch an airline related movie with Biss you learn a lot about all that goes into a flight. We got some of the best reactor jump scares you’ll ever see here. My favorites were the ones where he headphones come off and that l last totally unexpected one when they are deplaning because it totally caught her off guard.

As a local born & raised in Hawaii, there are no snakes native here. Let alone with the 2 invasive & venomous species: Brown Tree Snake & the Yellow-Bellied Sea Snake. Penalties for transporting, possesing & owning snakes in Hawaii, will face a $200,000 fine & up to 3 years in prison. There is however one type of Snake that came here in the 1930s called the "Flower Pot Snake". It came here accidently from the Philippines through Plant Trade. They're non-venomous, & feed on termites & ants.

I have acrophobia, particularly if there isn't anything I can trust to stop me from falling. If there is some kind of sturdy barrier, it is disorienting but I am okay, but I could never like, walk up to the edge of a cliff, or do outdoor rock climbing or anything like that either. Even jumping off of something high in a video game freaks me out as my character is falling (which, props to the graphics improvements, as that didn't use to be the case).

Quick lesson on the difference between poisonous and venomous. If it bites you and you go to permanent sleepland its venomous, if you bite it and you go to permanent sleepland its poisonous. sidenote: About two-thirds of the snakes seen throughout the film were either animatronic or CGI. The snakes that were real were mostly the non-venomous ones that are never seen attacking anyone. The scenes where someone is clearly bitten were often done with a mix of animatronic and animation.

Ophidiophobia and Arachnophobia are incredibly common, and I believe are two of the small number of phobias that are evident from birth. Which makes sense, spiders and snakes often reside in secluded locations, so staying away from them and avoiding them is a good evolutionary advantage to have from birth.

IIRC they don't intrinsically materialise as behaviours from birth, but we're primed from birth to be afraid of spiders or snakes if we see someone else acting afraid of them much more easily than for some other random animal or object.

19:34 They aren't really territorial but for the most part they aren't typically social, only coming together for breeding or brumation ("sleep" through the colder weather). At 7:36 of the movie, the plot was they was sprayed with a pheromone, this apparently changed the snakes behaviour, even though they was many different species of snakes, that would have there own pheromones, plus pheromones in snake would result in breeding rather than blind aggression.

Most snakes just avoid each other, especially if they are different species. They normally don't eat each other so there's no reason to risk a fight. That said, males of the same species often fight over females, but never to the death. It's more like wrestling without biting. Then the winner gets to wrestle with a lady... Some species of snake do, however, attack other species if defending their territory - but not one snake on this plane thinks the plane is its territory, so none of them would be very territorial on the plane. But remember, before the flight, a bad guy sprayed these snakes with some "pheromone" that made them go crazy. While scientifically impossible, that is the premise of the aggression of these snakes, so at least in this movie, that's why they're killing everybody. I have no idea why the crazy pheromone didn't seem to make them kill each other except "movie gotta happen".

My phobia was (and sorta still is) spiders. I used to be terrified and paralyzed with fear by them, but I'm at the point where only the bigger ones (tarantulas, trap-door spiders, etc) bother me, and I don't mind if they are NEAR me, just do not let them get ON me. I will also have to admit, jumping spiders are oddly "cute". I'm not sure why, but they do not look nearly as menacing and creepy as virtually every other species.

I think other than colors, a better indicator is that venomous snakes more often have diamond shaped head and also most poisonous creatures (in part because of the dangers to anything attacking with their teeth) will usually issue some kind of warning (a rattle, rearing up, hissing) before attacking, although the time between warning and attack might be very brief. One of the ones I am familiar with for a clear differentiation is the Red, Yellow, and Black banded snakes, its helpful to remember "if red touches black, you are okay jack, if Red touches yellow, you are a dead fellow". In this movie, you can the Red with yellow black yellow poisonous variety in some solo shots, but any shots where there is an actor involved you see they are the Red with Black yellow black non-poisonous variety, which makes sense.
