It does not matter if Jack is dead. His legacy is eternal. A false stain has been washed away. To those ridiculing this as "pointless" I say this. Posthumous pardons, honors or medals for the dead aren't unusual if there was injustice. It brings comfort and closure to the families. This boxer's family said they were ashamed and never mentioned him. Very sad. Trump and Stallone righted a wrong as best as possible under the circumstances.

Jack Johnson is one of the all time great heavyweights and it's a shame that his name isn't known by everybody the way Jackie Robinson's is, he broke the color barrier in professional sports WAY before Robinson or anybody else this is huge for the sport of boxing everybody who doesn't know his story needs to look it up and watch the old movie "great white hope" this man was the first black sports legend and was absolutely hated for it during his lifetime he never got the American hero treatment that guys like Joe Louis and Jackie Robinson received props to president trump for this he also stood up for Tyson and the racism he received from the judicial system in the early 90s but ppl forget about that ..
