Old comment but yes. When Nathan is talking about programming or anything in his comfort zone he is calm, calculated and relaxed. The moment Ava mentions Nathan, Caleb falters, becomes visibly nervous and unsure and his answers obviously conflicted and untrue. Ava picks up on this (like any halfway socially adept person would) and pounces on her chance to prod Caleb’s unease with Nathan and manipulate Caleb by planting seeds of deeper distrust.

Why did Caleb not simply tell Nathan about what she said? In that way, he could have seen Nathan's reaction while at the same time test Ava's suggestion and confront her with Nathan's response etc. He would then be able to figure out who is trying to outsmart him, Nathan or Ava, or if both are.
@dbboykid104 жыл бұрын
That would be the smart thing but the whole point is that caleb was specially chosen because Nathan knew he would take Ava's side no matter what. I gotta be honest - I don't think making AI separate from humans is a good idea. It should only exist within us but never as something outside of us. Maybe that's just my primitive brain and I am not an expert but I don't think that it's a good idea to create something that is smarter than us. Our survival depends on our ability to shape the world. And as nothing we create is perfect - even a flawless plan will have flaws. Only that with *something* like this could end in a bad way for us. I mean, it's just too unpredictable. I have no idea how something like this will work but in terms of imminent science fiction, I think enhancing us would be better than anything that is not actually connected to "normal" humans. I dunno what exactly I mean but don't you agree with me, stranger? Or am I just fearful for no reason?
