Watch Next: In 2019, Oakland effectively voted to decriminalise mushrooms- a progressive move for a city with a long history of punishing its black residents for drug use. Now some black residents are using them to heal from the racial trauma they deal with in everyday life. - kzbin.info/www/bejne/h4LJhKCKm6usiLM

I guess I just want somewhere to share my story. When I was 19 I took shrooms, and it was like I was turned inside out. As a child, I was very extroverted and loved being around people. And after the shrooms, I felt disconnected from everyone and everything around me. I just wanted to alone. I am learning to feel happiness from within myself, not running from myself. It's been a LONG and PAINFUL process but once it's healed, it's healed and beautiful.

A perfect example of "being the change you want to see in the world". I'm an ex-mo that resigned myself to never having a spiritual experience that I could actually believe in, but I've always been open to it. I had an opportunity to have a guided journey and expected to see some pretty lights and maybe cry about some old traumas... but what actually happened changed my life forever. I now feel that when I'm breathing my last breaths, I won't be afraid of "the end". I want this to be available to every person who is searching for peace and healing. Much love to TDA and other groups who are doing so much to help make this a reality.

If you had come to the realisation that it is unlikely there are any Gods then why would you have been afraid of the end? Rationality provides us with the wonderful concept that when you die that is it. There is no afterlife and no heaven or hell. Just like going to sleep with no dreams forever. That is the most peaceful unscary thing possible. Scary for me would be the Christian Heaven. Imagine not being able to do anything fun but you have to continue to exist for all eternity. That is frightening boredom.

Could be nice in like the sleepy hollow forest with lots of fog though, or also the church of mythology and folk tales, if I was wanting to join a social group, with hopefully less foreign ties I'd imagine. And as the calming of spirits can make me thinking about getting around to getting an ankh, and being a little blackfoot and cave lionen I can't say I've ever seen any ghosts personally, but I day dreamed about the afterlife in january 2013 though, it could definitely inspire a stick figure cartoon in easier explanations now that I think about it, although I was surprised when the orb pictures with the video, were of course dust particles, after I bounced a ball off the wall a long time ago anyway. The picture of the detailed viking helmet with laughing viking, dog, old lady, changing lycanthrope, and accidental ash pictures in the ash tray like an arrow tower nest were pretty cool once too though, back in the fargo winter when I was surviving on beer in my apartment mostly. Definitely better subconcious thermal kinetic dream pictures than jesus on the toast in my opinion, with a flair for the artistic like the girl that left a giant black wooden slate wrapped in plastic by the dumpster that I liked after curing, if not for storing issues, or raise my hand at the same time a flickering light goes out sometimes in the shadows I guess, if it really wasn't just an odd coincidence anyway.

Im so glad that psychedelic revolution is going on well. Unfortunately here in Poland you cant do it legally, but me and bunch of my friends know how to avoid law restrictions and do our ceremonies properly. I've been bewing Ayahuaska and growing Shrooms since 2008 when i was at high school. Majority of people at my age (back then) were just into MJ and Amph, when i started my work with psychedelics and many of my friends were afraid of entheogens (wich is kinda funny, cause taking way too much amphetamines was not an issue to them) but finally after few years of working with psychedelics and getting a degree in sociology i menaged to work on with these people and opened their minds. In many cases it has not changed much in their destuctive behaviour but at least they felt more spiritually opened and had positive changes in their lifes, e.g they had become more open-minded, less agressive and learned how to feel empathy towards themselves and others. It is good that these American mormons stopped being morons and changed they way of life. Entheogens, natural opioids, Kambo and so on can change the world for better. Kudos to communities from this video! :)

@John Smith Isn't better to brew Ayahuaska/grow shrooms/poppies by yourself? :P I have nothing against such shops, been getting some stuff from them also, but for me it is more exciting to take something that you've had taken care of and put some effort to make medicines work properly :) (especialy in case of entheogens - some plants and mushrooms can really show their kindness when someone is nice to them - no matter how weird does it sound)

I don't think it was the only stupid thing, I mean it was a little dumb if she had asked that after they explained the belief in the "divine", which sounds like some sort of all-encompassing entity or ether, and the video was just cut differently. No, the really dumb part was when the reporter asked them if it's about mental healing as opposed (underscore opposed) to a religion, and a participant agreed and added "I don't believe in religion, not even a little bit", and "I would not be a member of this church if [psychoactive] mushrooms were legal", as well as one of the guides (presumably she has some kind of higher status or position in the organization) saying "I see it as more of a social club for people to meet...discuss books..technology, etc." I'm not a lawyer, but statements like those would seem to be good ammunition to prosecute them as not being a genuine religious group, per what the attorney interviewed in the beginning had said about legal protections for drug use in a religious context.. Maybe that was their intention (being open to try to sway the public), but the leader at the end certainly seemed smart enough about trying to communicate genuine belief in a theology.

@toddmcsweeny
@toddmcsweeny Жыл бұрын
@Jack Jones I understand what they were communicating though. This goes for all the other comments under my comment cuz I can't be bothered to reply everyone. I think it's something you need to try & be a part of to actually understand. The belief is that its not a religion, it's spiritual, its a realisation of oneness & there is no leader to bow down to, we are all one, making us a part of the bigger thing that religions worship, if that makes sense. It all sounds like a bunch of woo woo until u try it & suddenly u understand. I find a big part of it has to do with mental health, people have tried everything & are at the end of the line with no help in sight, and this is how most people come to be open to this, it does help with depression, processing trauma & anxiety. It should not be taken lightly & other mental health conditions should rule you out if you are susceptible to psychosis. The Sunday service I imagine would be like an integration group, sharing knowledge & information on correct use, and contraindications to usage & times when you should have a break. A community is pretty vital, integration & being left to process experiences on your own is terrifying & this Sunday "service" would be tremendously helpful for support & advice & help process what you're going through.

Right near where they launch satellites in the sky. We've got 25 acres of land and want to build some resort space on the land. Maybe have people trip and come pick fruit and veggies with us. Get back to basics for their stay. The best trip I ever had was picking strawberries in a field. I had a whole-ass conversation with an earthworm, we shared a very good cry and we hugged. He wrapped himself around my finger and I gave him a kiss on his head. Or did I kiss his ass? I don't know but it seemed to like it. His name was Charlie.

i suffer from anhedonia after over a decade of opiate addiction, i'm clean now for over 7 years but i still struggle with crippling anhedonia and i have, secretly, used mushrooms to combat this depletion in my mind with some amazing successes... in all honesty i've had better success in treating myself with mushrooms than i ever had with my psychiatrist and all the medications, not saying it's for everyone but i was at the point where i'd "opt-out" before living any longer without being able to enjoy even the most mundane activities like reading in bed...

My butt vomited out mushrooms as I was on all fours, fully erect with 20 people touching and rubbing my nude body! What was really weird is when I ejaculated, people were collecting my specimen and that I was left alone in a room with the walls melting! I had to sign something saying I was fully sacrificing my specimen to the church, where it went I have no clue!

Ive tried psychedelics and other drugs. They’re all cool and make you feel mystical in a way because the experience is very spiritual, but honestly it’s not good to get too sucked into. Ive had mystical visions without any drugs and “communicated” with other worldly things. You don’t need drugs, but hey they sure do help sometimes.

What is a drug? Do you drink coffee? Do you consume sugar? Everything we consume consists of molecules that have various effects on our consciousness. Psilocybin could be considered a drug just like caffeine, however it also supplements the nervous system to trigger neurogenesis and spinogenesis so you could also call it a vitamin or a natural serotonergic supplement. Is cannabis a drug? Some say it is, but I say it's a botanical endocannabinoid supplement. Perspective is highly important.

If you've never looked yourself in the mirror after taking psychedelics and realized that you are truly god, did you ever do psychedelics?
@kingof206
@kingof206 Жыл бұрын
@@TheUncensoredGamer I’m not here to debate about god, but no I don’t believe I’m god and yes ive looked in the mirror many times while on psychedelics. What psychedelics really do is help with trauma and learning a bit about yourself or helps kill the ego. Good for you if you believe you’re god though 👍 I just feel like psychedelic types of substances make you think things that aren’t exactly true. They just feel true imo because you’re high as hell and in an altered state of consciousness but I think a lot of the thoughts you may get while on psychedelics are delusions. Use it for trauma, learning about yourself, not to find “god”, because you’ll constantly have to be high to get that feeling. You don’t need psychedelics to get close to god. You can do it sober through intense mediation, fasting, prayer, etc.
@Y.0o0
@Y.0o0 Жыл бұрын
@@kingof206 You don’t need psychedelic’s to connect with god for some people ; It’s just easier & faster to connect with god through psychedelics rather than waiting a lifetime through intense sober meditation, fasting, prayer, etc (psychedelics combined with meditation/prayer is already an intense experience in itself IF you take a big enough dose where it really affects you so what’s the point in doing intense sober meditation over and over again day after day for an entire lifetime if all it takes is just for ONE intense non-sober experience one day in your life that fundamentally changes you as a person for the rest of your life that takes others years to achieve?). Sober or non-sober, doesn’t matter… one isn’t better than the other & thats where people get it confused ; you had a divine experience either way so in the end, all it really is is just a game (mind control) of oneupmanship which correlates to the ego.. it doesn’t exist so it shouldn’t matter! After the initial ego dissolution/godself experience, you live life with that god realization knowing that god is within you since humans are ultimately the ones who came up with the idea of “God” in the first place & that fundamentally changes you as a person through the lifelong integration process. You don’t even need psychedelics after the godself experience & you can just live life meditating/praying or whatever when it’s necessary (that’s why for some people it only takes one experience in their lifetime and nothing more) but if people choose to utilize psychedelics as a tool to connect with the divine in a safe set/setting & as long as they’re not hurting anybody on a physical level, let them.

Mushrooms have been used ceremonially since the beginning of time by indigenous peoples around the globe, but our laws here in the US, are listed as a "schedule 1" drug. When you can walk on the lawn of a courthouse and find psyllicibin mushrooms growing, should the people in gov't be held accountable and sent to prison for growing them? Should We the People rade the courthouse? No plant should ever be illegal and people should be able to ingest anything they please. It's fine to have laws against using any substance that affects the mind while driving or using heavy machinery, but for use at home, the gov't needs to buttout.

Would that make John Oliver's religion, which was established exclusively to prove a point about the tax exempt status of religion in the US, a cult? I think you should look into the BITE model, I think it's a pretty well designed way to classify cults. It's not going to give you a bi-nary result as there's plenty of things that implement the practices of cults, often for good (think of stuff like boot camps for those with obesity), often for bad (think of modern-day political practices used by virtually every political group in the world), but it also helps you understand cults better
