I was not attacked in a bathroom either, but I can't even go if I see, hear, or know there is a male around. The wall between my apartment and the next is thin and the neighbors are LOUD, and I was in my own bathroom when the neighbor's father came into their bathroom to tell his granddaughter to stop with her tantrum. Just hearing his voice THROUGH THE WALL freaked me out, stopped all business going on even though I had to go desperately, and I couldn't pull my pants up and get out of there quick enough. Yes, but most of them do not have offices in the Capitol building; they are in adjacent office buildings. So having to go to another building just to use the restroom wastes a lot of time. (Reminds me of the bathroom situation in "Hidden Figures".)

I don't care who uses what bathroom, but they should be honest, the question should be, "should biological males be allowed to used women's bathrooms or biological females use the men's bathroom?" Being trans doesn't change your sex, you can be born with the emotional makeup of a women as a biological man. But you're still a biological man. So the question really is is that should ANYBODY use the bathroom they want regardless of biological sex? Again, I don't have a problem with it.

We have had non-gendered restrooms in Scandinavia for decades and decades. It's not a thing. We don't have SA by transpeople on a fucking toilet bowl. Transpeople are much more SA'd than cis men but it's never happens in a restroom in IKEA.
