Lore: in this world instead of fights and battles that result in blood, they fight with fashion. They actually have a reason for this and one part of the story showing what happens to people who actually spill blood (which results them being cursed). In most of the games it normally starts pretty light hearted but then as we trudge on .....people.die...literally...omg when my favorite character died, I stopped playing the chapters for awhile. They don't have random blood shed to add edge but because there's actual problems in the world and normally the world ending. I think even guys might think this is interesting.

Someone already made the correction that he wasn't the "main" director of BOTW, but his resume is still impressive. Including botw and the dlc (which he did direct) he's worked on a bunch of other Zelda games like Wind Waker and Twilight Princess, and also a couple Mario Kart games. He left Nintendo to work at this studio (Paper Games), so I wonder how exactly they linked up.

I've been a longtime fan of the Nikki series, so it's so surreal and awesome at the same time to see more people talking about it!! This game is a huge step for the series, and I'm so excited for it! :D
@IfYouSeekCaveman7 ай бұрын
The term "director" gets used pretty loosely among the Zelda devs. Hidemaro Fujibayashi was the actual director of BotW with Daiki Iwamoto as his assistant director. Then beneath that there's like 10 sub-directors who each oversee a specific aspect of the game.
@neidhardt80937 ай бұрын
Yea, the guy on this was the Game Designer for botw and the main director for the DLC, which is still very impressive. He's worked on a bunch of other Zelda games too. You definitely see the Zelda dna in Infinity Nikki
@amano_s7 ай бұрын
So, basically, he is just one of the Director's fingers.
@corvacopia7 ай бұрын
He was the main director for its Expansion Pass and has had significant roles in every main Zelda game since Wind Waker (except for Tears of the Kingdom, since by then he had left to work on this game, but he still gets thanked in the credits)

Even assuming if he's just a designer assistant, who did few Zelda games, He will still be very familiar with things, and maybe adds some of he's personal touches.

If anyone is interested, this game already has hours and hours of footage on KZbin albeit in Chinese. The detail on the clothes is pretty astonishing. Skimming through the footage I can't find any gatcha element unless it's not in the game yet. But what would you gatcha for? Clothes? That kinda competes with the core gameplay which seems to be all about getting material for clothes you unlock blueprints for by playing so idk.
@chichichichichichiOwO7 ай бұрын
In the original there's a LOT of clothes where even if you don't spend money for the gotcha you'll still have a lot so it might end up like that

In the mobiles games, most of the money is spend on either becoming VIPs, buying special outfits or on buying in game gems that you can use to do more special events. But overall, it's just tempting but it's fine. I think the pvp that might make people want to spend money is the user Fashion competitions were you can see people have tons of cool outfit mix

If you watch the IGN preview, you can see where the Zelda inspiration comes from. Mechanic wise it doesn't really have a lot in common with Genshin or Xenoblade, but the open world's design probably takes some inspiration from Xeno.

I'm gonna be honest, you made a big deal out of saying like "You're gonna see this game and think, hmm, why does this look so familiar..." but it didn't look familiar to me at all, beyond having the generic Unreal graphics. It looks nothing like Breath of the Wild. I'd say nobody is talking about this game because it looks like a generic 'Made in Unreal' game but for girls, and games made for girls really don't get much publicity. This looks like an exploration based dress up simulator. Not really that interesting.
