People who play guitar, whether it be on a pro level or a novice level understands how creative and great Jake is as a guitarist. But there are many people who aint interested in playing guitar or any other instrument. Those folks just hear his playing and think it's just another guitar player from the 80's. Sad right? But for me, Jake E. Lee is a legend. I wish I could think of riffs and solos like he can. His solos are amazing and so is his riffage & dexterity!! But like I said, if one doesn't play; they will never fully understand. And that sucks!

1986 my buddy's bro invited us down to the studio in So Cal to be in the Shot in the dark video, I was 17. During a break in shooting, I was headed to the rest room and Jake was walking next to me. He initiated a conversation with me. He was very cool and easy to talk to. He's a class act! . I'm old now and glad we're both still here!

Back in the 80s my mom's good friend was a sound engineer in with tour with the bands. He was originally from England. But he would come to town with Ozzy, Motley Crue, Metallica etc.. Whatever the The Big Tour that year was. And I would get backstage passes from him and sit in the mixers. My mom was the manager across the street at the Holiday Inn. They opened the bar late at night after showed in Charlotte so the bands could come drink. On Thr Ultimate Sin Tour after the best show I had ever seen from a Guitarist. I a Bassist BTW but play multiple instruments. My brother who was a clone of Randy Rhoades, myself and my mom all went on stage after and took pictures with Ozzy and the band with the GIANT OZZY that came down from above and let him out. We went on and hung out with the other bands that opened in Matt zone. About an hour or two later we were at the bar across the street that my mom had opened for the night and Jake E Lee walks in. He was wearing a Purple Suit like the Joker would wear. But it was sharp. And of coarse his Chuck Taylor's. Hahaha.. He came over and ordered a Heineken add was just a chilling down to earth. We talked for probably 2 hours about music and gear and all kinds of other stuff. I've met a lot of musicians in my life. And he was not only in my experience one of the top 10 guitarists of all time. Personally my favorite guitarists of all time. My brother would argue that with me when he was alive that Randy Rhoads was but that's another story😅😅😅😅 but Jake is just true class add true Talent
