President Rawlings mum was from Volta Region where Ewe is the language and his dad from Scotland. He speaks a wonderful Ewe. Ewe has a derivative called Mina. And at Lomé, the capital of Togo most people speak Mina and few Ewe but in villages most people speak Ewe.

Ewe and Mina are very different languages. What we speak in lomé is not actually the true ewe. Ewegbe, Mina, Guingbe are similar but are quiet different
@clementgavi7290
@clementgavi7290 3 жыл бұрын
@@anitaafatchao5568 Ewe and Mina aren't VERY Different languages. The difference only lies in accent. Mina and Guingbe are similar as they refer to the same accent. Guingbe means language of Guin, Guin people who are mostly in the region of Lacs in the south of Togo, I mean Aneho, etc. If you say 'Ewegbe and Mina are similar you then contradict what you have said as Ewe and Mina are different language. Because Ewegbe means Ewe language.

Why this hatred of one another? Would someone translate what he said? Pls ppl grow up, this is the 21st century. Pls Ghanaians don't fall for d crap of divide and conquer........ It is logically sane to teach our kids in our native tongue, whether we like it or not. By spending so much time learning a foreign language, we set ourselves back generations . Pls don't take my word for it. Do your own research .without exception, everyone of d developed or industrialised countries, broke through with their own native tongue. If we can't agree on one specific language, then let each area teach their children in their own. Why so much enmity ? No wonder our ancestors were easily rounded up to America, Europe, Caribbean and south America to be tortured and enslaved. We have a long way to go, with this attitude .we seems to have lost d reason we were brought here. We were brought here, not to turn on each other, but turn at each other as overseers of d universe .God bless you all.

I thought schools in every region are taught the dialect of the area. Is that the reason why you killed Akuffo "thems" and yet Ghana forgave you? You are a divider JJ. You married an Akan so is it a crime if she speaks twi. Black people how sad, is ok to speak a foreign language English as a nation. But you have a problem with twi language. Nina Snow If anything he’s saying he doesn’t need to speak English because when people speak Akan they don’t ask them to speak English. This is a very fair statement and just respect he’s paying to his mother tongue. When you go to an old man’s house and he speaks his language do you go and tell him to speak the language you understand? Be objective.
