I'm actually really glad judge judy sees the difference between living together in a relationship vs broken up. I technically don't pay towards the rent in my relationship but I do most of the groceries and pay daycare for our child which amounts to about the same as the rent. It makes sense to just have one lump sum to come out of one account instead of two amounts out of two accounts.
