Alhamdulillah! This video came at the right time. I just yesterday left a local Muslim WhatsApp group after sharing Br. Suleiman's video about all the work that goes into these series. A person replied to my post by sharing something very negative, Muslim members of this WhatsApp group have done same about Yasir Qadhi and said things that just seem over the top. We need an ummah that comes together with such esteemed teachers not groups that point out others faults. Allah (swt) has said not to turn against each other but I think some people haven't gotten the message!

Yasir Qadhi made some pretty huge mistakes. He said that some of Islam's rulings are are problematic, bizarre. He even says calling out to other than Allah isn't shirk. The problem is he uses half-truths from the Quran, hadith and scholars in a way that convinces people who don't know Arabic. His evidences are wrong but if you don't know the sunnah or tafsir, you won't tell. He flat-out uses weak sources to justify his views or says a sahih source is weak. Literally it is so shocking he once said that Al Albani graded the hadith about touching a woman being worse than being stabbed with iron rod as weak, and when I check it was sahih! Graded by who? Al-Albani himself! He is such a fitnah because he can get you to agree with him or at least think he is being reasonable by giving fake evidence.

Omar Suleiman seems to have the right intentions the problem is that he has made mistakes that no scholar would make (freemixing, working with known LGBT activists even if its not on their gay activisim, and that one thing I won't name but that we all know about). I'm not saying he is a scholar, because he is just a daeaa and he never claimed to be a scholar, but even for someone teaching Islam to Muslims online, you shouldn't make the kind of huge mistakes he has made. I hope Allah forgives him, but I don't think he should teach the deen. Be careful Muslims who you take your deen from. You wouldn't study medicine from a quack, so don't take your deen except from an alim. Look at the translated lectures of sheikh Luhaydan, Bin Baz, ibn uthaymeen, Abdulrazzaq badr or Shuwayir. Do you know the names of these ulama? If not, perhaps it is time to learn.

@@la_illaha_ill_allah oh jeez you sound just like the people in the WhatsApp group I left. Allah (swt) has said not to divide ummah, not to publicly share faults in people. Our prophets and messengers also made mistakes because (guess what) they were human. No one is perfect but for members of our ummah to be the religion police and to call out any mistake makes others think that you are not there to bring the ummah together but to rip it apart. Let the judging and criticizing be on Allah to do, if you don't like or agree then do as our Prophet (pbuh) and tell the person directly DON'T be keyboard warriors and point out others mistakes cause your own mistakes will be shared publicly. Fear Allah (swt)!

Why??? because the unimaginable horrors the Palestinians are going thru I cannot stomach that, is difficult to see my day thru. With this title I literally had to hold my breath before I clicked it today, had been passing it off for days, not wanting to hear anything wrong, fearing something negative coming on him. But no it wasn't, and I better understand why thanks to your feedback. I'm a french muslim, and I can tell you that the work of Yaqeen goes beyond North America. I can't recall the number of times where I found extreme satisfaction reading an article written by Yaqeen, or watched a video exactly answering an issue I had related to islam and so on. Omar Suleiman is a kind hearted amazing person. You can see this when he speaks, when he posts on social media and how he defends himself “the whole lgbt thing”. He’s truly sincere. With ALL of that said he is human. Humans make mistakes so don’t put all your faith in one person. Example, he does something wrong then all of a sudden your imam could be destroyed. 1. Never stop seeking knowledge for YOU, and by saying that be diligent with the source of knowledge that you’re learning from. How to know if it’s “weird”…the ilm must come from Quraan and Hadiths only. Do not rely TOO MUCH on your common sense for a lot of bida’ah practices devours on that. Not ALL of Allah’s do’s and don’t s MUST BE VETTED BY YOUR BRAIN!.. 2. The ONLY human that as Muslims we must idolise and emulate is Rasulullah SAW. The rest of the people with knowledge that are around us, we learn from them for their ilm NOT who they are. You can like them, love them, all the daes, syiukhs, students of knowledge and all but just take the ilm that they’re teaching and sharing.
