33:20 Toon black magician girl was the card with the longest effect text in the game at the time. It was so long that they even cut several of the effects that toon monsters usually have to make it fit in. These include the 500lp requirement to attack and the restriction of attacking on the turn it's summoned.

Sadly in Hungary these were basically the only thing you could get your hands on for the most part. Legit cards were really rare to find and I don't even remember seeing stuff like booster packs anywhere so not sure if we even had those or not just starter decks....some of which were bootleg ones.

This was quite the trip down memory lane! Growing up in Israel we used to get these cards in 1 Shekel shops (that's about 25 US cents, which was also what a pack of 40-50 such cards cost) or other bootleg game shops. Without much internet access, limited English-proficiency and many of the cards never having been featured on the show my friends and I really had no chance of understanding what each card does. We used to make up effects as we went. For example the only way to destroy an opponent's Exodia was to use your own since it's the only card with "limitless offensiRe force". To circumvent the massive loss of LP resulting from an Exodia attack we played with no LP. The win conditions were other things like a deckout or Final Countdown.

My favorite one would have to be "Royal Guarding Fort" Aka ("Fake Guardian of the Throne Room"). Description: The Royal guarding robot, it can use the missile to chase the enemy even it is dieing. Type: Machinery Attribute Light but with water symbol and for the Atk and Def 16150/16000; no joke. One attack can win the game and it is a level 4 so no tributes. There is also Black Cow Magician

Dude, im 100% certain i got a spanish version of that exact same "Vampire" Card. I cant show it because i threw away all my bootleg Yugioh cards some time ago (i had a box full of the things, they were rampant in venezuela). Thank god my Tyrant Dragon is legit tough, i was worried when looking through my bootleg deck and turns out Tyrant dragon was one of the very few legit cards in my deck. That boi is my equivalent of the Dark Magician or Blue eyes, many duelist has fell before its Tyranic grasp.

Yeah... my friends got scammed at this place called the jockey lot for cards like these. My brother ended up getting some like the whole exodia and all the god cards. A little related unrelated story, my brother and I would argue over whose cards were whose. My mom had the bright idea of putting different colored stickers on the back of the cards. This sucks cuz we both had a lot of first editions that got ruined.

My favourite bootleg card is Devil Winged Blue Dragon, Guardian of the First Fortress Monster (Winged Dragon, Guardian of the Fortress #1) It's attribute is nonexistent, it's type is [Aqua]. And it's effect roughly translates to: "This monster flood your opponent thanks to unlimited amount of water almost." Cool isn't it? I bet that fisher dude from duelist kingdom would love this card.

Regarding Vampire... What it does is that it switches discarded cart with opponent. Do you remember that one episode when Yugi and friends got turned into cards? Yeah, that's what it does. But at the same time opponent is moved to the cementary. Therefore for the rest of the match you're stuck battling card while your opponent is dead

Here in Brazil we had bootleg mini cards. Printed in a more thick magazine paper, relatively well translated to portuguese (except by the names), and sold in boosters of 3 by $ 0,30 each. Original cards were like SUPER expensive, so these mini fakes were really popular in my school. Even the rich kids with original cards played with the fakes.

Back when Yugioh was still in the first season, and the actual cards were just starting to be made in Japan, all our shady shops had these bootleg cards, a lot of us bought them but they were around 3 to 6 bucks per 60 cards decks, and we all new they were fake, but since the rules still didn't exist we just made up our own, like, using polimerization meant fusing ANY two monsters, thw result would be putting the cards one on top of each other, the bottom one showing only the stats, and the amalgamation would have attack and defense equal to that of the stronger one plus half those of the other one, or if the monsters were 5 stars or less (we assumed that was the halfway point) straight up the sum of the full stats of both... we had fun XD.

I think the monster name in the toon dark magician girl is suppoused to be dark magician, going by the actual effect, so it makes sense its different from tit's card name. As far as I can tell most if not all thouse cards have bad translations of the original text, like how they say call whenever they reffer to summon (even in summoned skulls name)
